Thread: How exactly would real people react to this situation?

Introduction

I have a fictional world to share with you but that is not the main point of my post because I will ask you an important question regarding psychology and sociology.

This fiction is set in a very violent world where many kingdoms and many empires are waging brutal wars against each other and where criminals such as pirates, bandits, etc. get away with crimes many times.

In ancient times, there was a large community of religious peoples consisting of monks, priests, sacred maidens, and a high priest(the head of the entire religious community).

The High Priest

The high priest can be female, which is a high priestess.

The high priest or the high priestess is different from the rest of the members of the religious community in that he or she is trained from the age of 5 in the ways and duties of being a high priest or a high priestess.

The minimum age that the high priest or the high priestess is expected to be a high priest or a high priestess is 18 years old. The high priest or the high priestess is expected to be a high priest or a high priestess for the rest of his or her life.

The high priest or the high priestess is very passionate about being a virgin for the rest of his or her life because he or she was raised to be a passionate virgin for the rest of his or her life. This religious community practices chastity and virginity. They are passionate virgins to the day they die. They also dress in a modest way.

This religious community also does charity to poor peoples.

The Temple Guardians

Anyways, there is another type of people in the religious community. They are called temple guardians. Temple guardians are knights who are the main military force of the religious community. The temple guardians are the protectors of the religious community. They are also passionate virgins to the day they die because they were raised and conditioned to be passionate virgins to the day they die. Temple guardians are not allowed by the religious community to have spouses, lovers, or children and this is for the rest of their lives.

Temple guardians are knights who were trained from the age of 5 in being warriors. They often start fighting wars at the age of 15. They are fully covered by full plate armor. They are often raised and conditioned from the age of 5 by the religious community to love, admire, and protect the religious community and the religion the religious community is practicing. Temple guardians have to be males. Females are not allowed to be temple guardians.

The Holy White Guardian

But there is a special type of a temple guardian and that is the holy white guardian.

The holy white guardian is a special type of a temple guardian and that is that he is the sole personal bodyguard of the high priest or the high priestess. The high priest or the high priestess can only have one personal bodyguard and that is the holy white guardian.

Holy white guardians are passionate when it comes to being virgins to the day they die because they have been raised by the religious community to be passionate virgins to the day they die. A holy white guardian is not allowed by the religious community to have spouses, lovers, or children and this is for the rest of his life.

The holy white guardian's warrior training is the same as that of a typical temple guardian. But compared to a typical temple guardian, the holy white guardian is raised and conditioned to protect, to admire, be best friends with, and be very fond of the high priest or the high priestess he is assigned by the religious community to protect for the rest of his life.

Holy white guardians have to be males. Females are not allowed to be holy white guardians.

Relationship

A 5 year old holy white guardian and a 5 year old high priest or high priestess are raised and conditioned to often be physically together wherever and whenever they are.

Due to the way the religious community raises a holy white guardian and a high priest or a high priestess, holy white guardians and high priests or high priestesses are best friends most of the time.

There can only be one high priest or high priestess for the religious community. Again, there can only be one personal bodyguard for the high priest or the high priestess and that is his or her holy white guardian.

Living Together

Once the holy white guardian reaches the age of 18 years old and once the high priest or the high priestess reaches the age of 18 years old, they are expected by the religious community to live together in a mansion. According to the religious community, it just has to be the holy white guardian and the high priest or the high priestess in the mansion.

The mansion is the home of the high priest or the high priestess and the holy white guardian's duty is to protect the mansion and the high priest or the high priestess living there. The two of them will live together such as eating dinner together, etc. They will live together there for the rest of their lives.

A high priest or a high priestess typically loves the holy white guardian sleeping in his or her bedroom but they have separate beds. This is because the high priest or the high priestess wants to be as close as possible to the protection that his or her holy white guardian can provide him or her.

For the religious community, the holy white guardian only lives to protect the high priest or the high priestess.

The Question

Now what do you think of this situation below? How exactly will this situation be if the characters in my fictional world are not fictional but real people? How would they behave psychologically and socially if they are real people?

An 18 year old high priestess and her holy white guardian are expected by the religious community to live together in the mansion that is built for them by the religious community. This holy white guardian is an 18 year old male who is very fond of the 18 year old high priestess. He will gladly protect the 18 year old high priestess to the point that he will die. She is also very fond of this holy white guardian. The two of them are best friends and are very polite towards each other.

They started living together in the mansion. They are always together everyday whether they are in the mansion or out of the mansion. They are also always together out in public.

So again, how exactly will this situation be if the characters in my fictional world are not fictional but real people? How would they behave psychologically and socially if they were real people? But also, how will you react if you are the 18 holy white guardian or the 18 year old high priestess in this situation?
