Re: How do you take care of your mental health?

You can accomplish this by making your life simple and toxicity free. Reject anyone or anything that brings toxicity to your life. Do not concern yourselves with what others are doing, only what you want to do and how you want to live. Only have powerful thoughts, never complain and avoid those that do so. You can train with something like the Isobow or Isochain every other day. You can build them if you don't want to buy them. Eat healthy food and if you want a treat, find healthy ones.

Look at what society promotes...complicated, competitive lives filled with the fear of missing out, and the competition to keep up with others. Remove all of this, live on your purpose and reject the competition and showing off and already, your life is healthier than most. My last point is this. Learn and master the Law Of Tenfold and do all that it recommends so you can become financially free.

What about an occasional cheat meal? While I eat healthy most of the time, I do get a lot of pleasure from certain junk food occasionally (pizza, ice cream, tacos, cookies, etc)

So you would recommend a lower paying job with work-life balance over a more stressful job that pays more money? It seems that time is the real currency.

I'm a nihilist, so I have no mental health problems.

    I'm at this point myself.
I've gotten so solipsistic over the last few years that I believe in nothing, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but self-preservation.

Th easiest strategy for improving mental health requires a type of selfishness. Not the selfishness where you expect other people to do everything for you while you do nothing (you end up with more mental health problems this way) but the type of selfishness where you don't do anything that has no value to you or less value than what you expect for your efforts.
This way you don't lose anything by doing something.

It seems counter-intuitive to tell something to think in terms of winning and losing in every interaction when it comes to mental health but this is how it has to be done if that person is incapable of understanding how to make themselves feel good. Because mental health is based entirely on how you feel, not what the actual circumstances are.
If you believe everything you hear is a lie, you have a 100% lie detection rate.
The opposite holds true but I would rather be surprised by the truth than a lie.

    Society is a Simulacrum.

Initially I let them know that I don't accept complaints in my life and if they continue complaining then I just respond with silence. You could also occasionally respond by rephrasing what they said in a more positive manner.

I do the same occasionally. As long as it's in moderation I don't see a problem. You may want to use digestive enzymes with your food since most are completely devoid (even the healthier ones).

Absolutely. Ive known people that worked higher paying jobs but never had the time to enjoy their own home. What's the point?

But for an alternative way of thinking, I recommend looking into 'The Law of Tenfold' and 'Unexpected Income'. There is a reason why everyone is taught to see their job and career as the source of income...

Sounds like a diplomatic way to handle the situation. It beats arguing or going "no contact", which seems to unfortunately be a trend these days.

Are you referring to probiotics? I have started taking acidophilus and cutting down on the high fiber foods as that seems to contribute to digestive issues.

Is this what you're referring to?

    Primarily: fitness.

Secondarily: creative action (writing / content creation)

Thirdly: wild camping in the mountains (3-5 days at a time)

Fourth: minimizing screen time so necessity does not become addiction. A K-safe has helped enormously with this. I basically lock up my net when I'm not using it.

Re: How do you take care of your mental health?

Let it out. Even if it means you're in a room by yourself and yelling at the walls, that's better than yelling at someone else. I've said so many nasty things to people that I knew weren't there, but it felt good to say em' and get off my chest and there were zero consequences. Also, having a purpose in life helps a lot.......it doesn't have be to getting your investment portfolio up to 6 or 7 figures, believe it or not it can even be something simple like volunteering at animal shelter or playing cards w/some old timers at an old folks home for a few hours/week. You'll immediately see that you can make a difference.
