Thread: Football Player Who Was Cleared For Killing Tinder Date After Sex Back Playing Football

After being cleared of murder, former Virginia Tech linebacker Isimemen Etute is set to play football at Iowa Western Community College this coming season.

A jury in May found Etute not guilty of murdering his Tinder date, Jerry Smith, a 40-year-old gay man who presented himself as a 21-year-old physician named Angie Renee. The athlete’s legal team said Etute was acting in self-defense when he beat Smith, claiming Etute thought Smith was reaching for a gun after the man’s true gender was revealed.

Turk also told the jury Smith was a “deceitful and dishonest man” who “defrauded young men for his own sexual gratification.”
Etute and Smith linked up last year on hook-up app Tinder. Smith reportedly performed oral sex on Etute, then 18 years old, during their first meetup. Claiming he was suspicious he was misled by Smith, Etute met back up for a second date to try to find out Smith’s sex. After discovering Smith was indeed male, Etute gave him a fatal beating . . .

That story made me feel a little bit better today.

Looks like the prosecutors not very good at picking juries. Or maybe the voters of Virginia lied so they could show their scorn of the deceased. All I know is it don't sound much like self-defense.

It doesn't sound like good judgement on the gay guy's part either. Sucking homophobic 18 year old's? What did he think was going to happen? He must a got beat up a lot if this was a normal activity for him.

Although it sounds here like the gay guy was trying to completely fool the straight guy without ever revealing himself, these instances to me just highlight how disconnected other gay people are in assuming that straight people should be attracted to them, an old gay dream that has lately been made into an expectation by the transgendered crowd. Think the football players story of self defense is bogus, your first sentence nails it in that gay dude was "trying to completely fool the straight gau without revealing himself . . ." - Player went on a second date not because he was "suspicious" but he wanted more sex, gay dude figured he had reeled in the fish and the football player was hooked on oral sex so he could revear the reality of the situation, then the wig "fell off". Exactly. The case should have been dropped before it went to trial. One less faker in the world is the way I see it. That’s what dude gets for playing with people. Only thing that was lost was a predator.

Generally speaking the law only applies to people who attack/rob/kill etc someone with more social value then the suspect (a guys smokes a girl vs low status male)

That being said, it a bad idea to be transgender.

Saw an article discussing this case and intersectionality - if the white gay guy had killed the black football player, he would have been convicted but since it was a black guy killing a white gay guy, a black has higher intersectionality status than a white gay. Top of the intersectionality status list - lesbian black handicapped illegal alien! LOL

In Australia it used to be covered (somewhat unofficially) by self defence laws. If a man believed another man was making an approach on him the man being approached could defend himself if he felt it was necessary.

It may sound over the top to some but keep in mind that this homosexual is a grown ass man! They might be stronger etc than the one they are approaching. Rape could be their intention and in the case of this thread it appears that it was all a dupe so who knows what really happened and why it led to murder.
