The Church of Scientology Says Danny Masterson Stalking Suit Must Go to "Religious Arbitration"

New court papers argue that four suing women consented to "ecclesiastical rule" and forever relinquished their right to sue.
Can the Church of Scientology escape the U.S. civil justice system? On Tuesday, in a lawsuit that alleges four women were stalked and harassed after they told the Los Angeles Police Department about sexual assaults by '70s Show actor Danny Masterson, the Church of Scientology pushed to compel "religious arbitration."
...But the big move comes from the Church of Scientology, a co-defendant in the case. The argument being made is that these women agreed to ecclesiastical justice procedures when they first committed to practice Scientology. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge is presented with their written agreements.
...Thanks to the Federal Arbitration Act, compulsory arbitration is favored upon mutual consent. Over the years, that's left a wide range of individuals with lesser bargaining power everyone from employees to those signing up for tech service complaining about unconscionable agreements, but for the most part, the Supreme Court has enforced arbitration agreements. But this typically means that litigants go to JAMS, AAA or other alternative arbitration venues. Here, the Scientologists step forward with a motion that would go far in shielding its leaders from facing civil claims . . . "

Sounds interesting - when you get a church wedding, both parties agree to "religious arbitration" instead a court divorce? Has to be an improvement over the "cash and prizes" frivorces today in court

My memory is a bit hazy on this, as it happened 20 years ago. We had a business dispute with a supplier that we had both agreed to arbitration in cases of conflicts. However, when the problem arose, our attorney said the arbitration is final ONLY if both parties WILLINGLY go to arbitration to resolve the dispute.

In other words your right to court cant be taken away. However, if both parties go to arbitration, the verdict is final.

Read the Scientology court filing linked to the article - looked to me like arbitration is mandatory. Also, I believe muslims and jews have their own religious courts to decide divorces via prenups with mandatory arbitration, like this one. For those who want to get married, a muslim prenup with a muslim arbitrator would likely be promale - anyone know about this?

Your "rights" are allegedly inalienable, unless you're a slave prior to 1865, an unborn child, a married man, or in my case, a land owner condemned in his own property as part of a dead body politic deceased on January 10th 1974. Closed under CEASE AND DESIST for all purposes public and private on July 18th 1997. Now adrift in an endless sea of executive and judicial corruption. A burn hole in the fabric of America!

I know it sounds confusing, but give it enough time and the truth always comes out. I'm no different than any other MGHOW, seek and ye shall find the answers in all their ugly forms as the vales of deception are lifted uncovering the ugly truth.

The truth shall set you free, in spite of corrupted wayward laws and judicial orders.

Nothing is more filthy than corrupted law. Gentlemen, we live under corrupted law so long as we obey deceitful orders on this road to perdition. There will always be tyranny, it just changes forms and colors like a chameleon. Right is right and wrong is wrong, no law or molestation of law can override it!
We are the retribution, the poetic justice, and the reaping to what gynocentric society has sewn for decades stacked atop of decades.

From what Opaque has told us, it sounds bad. We probably shouldn't get our hopes up.

The Scientologists have a high probability of pulling this off. Also, never send in your friend's name to them as a joke. They aren't, I promise.

He still wonders to this day about it.

Remember reading somewhere that major religions have a central object which is venerated and necessary for worship. In Christianity, that central object is the Bible. For Islam, the central object is the Koran. In Scientology, the central object is your credit card! LOL
Abandon all hope if you enter Scientology; for your credit card will be maxed out paying for Scientology "courses"! See: "Credit Card to Spiritual Freedom" by Mike Rinder. "Though perhaps not financial freedom…"https://www.mikerindersblog.org/credit-card-to-spiritual-freedom/
