Chinese Communists Ban 'Sissy Men' to Save 'Revolutionary Culture'

"In a move reminiscent of the moral panics against Elvis Presley, Little Richard, and rock ‘n roll in the 1950s, the Chinese Communist Party is vowing to get tough on effeminate men because “revolutionary culture” is in danger. The Chicoms are a little vague on who or what constitutes “sissy men,” but the real goal of the directive is to eliminate pop culture influences from South Korea and Japan and reinforce traditional Chinese Communist Party views on morality . . .Broadcasters must “resolutely put an end to sissy men and other abnormal esthetics,” the National Radio and TV Administration said, using an insulting slang term for effeminate men — “niang pao,” or literally, “girlie guns.”

Shit like this is why I think China is probably going to surpass the US as the world superpower within a generation or two.

I think they already have, it's just that none of the politically visible folks want to actually come out and say it. China builds the vast majority of our electronics. It's got lots of tech it obtained from us, e.g. the spy plane that landed on Chinese soil a few decades ago and was left there mostly intact, and all the very high-tech stuff the U.S. just abandoned in Afghanistan -- again mostly intact. China and Afghanistan are going to be best buds for a while, with China paying off Pakistan to build a huge pipeline between itself (China) and oil-rich Iran. I think America is entering its twilight years at the moment, soon to be just another also-ran. Sad.

There will be conflict between US and China - it happens whenever an emerging power threatens to displace an existing great power and is coined the Thucydides Trap after the Athenian general posited that war between Sparta and Athens was inevitable.

I don't think the "conflict" per se will be an active one. I think it'll be shutting off chip supply, thus halting the manufacture of cars, trucks, computers & peripherals & networking gear, all sorts of factory machinery, on and on... So, the war won't be via aggression; it'll be via deprivation. Same way the Nazis torpedoed the supply chain from America to England, hoping to starve England and force it to surrender. (Of course there were shots fired in that case, but the overall strategy was one of deprivation.)

They would have a hard time doing that in the woke USA since the sissies don't identify as men, they would have to ban several hundred things rather than one

Security is in uncoupling, International trade was encouraged after WW-II, planning with the conquered nations begun in earnest, everything from nuclear power to oil reserves were strategized. Done in the belief that interdependency both economically and industrially would secure the world from having another world war.

That plan is going out the window as China's directives are to conquer both economically and industrially putting a stranglehold that way.

Prior to WW-II, the United States did everything inhouse aside from bananas, coffee, and rubber. Now we rely on a supply chain that spans the globe in every direction.

Unites States gained the least and lost the most in this economic industrial interdependency plan. Until Trump came along and was mugged by the treacherous profiteers that make riches beyond belief in this tyrannical ongoing corrosive activity.

There are Chinese everywhere in Markham, Ontario and in Richmond, BC, and I've yet to see purple haired FOB Chinese women here. Chinese are segregated from Canadians.

The CCP probably view many of them as "dissidents" for transferring their monies to Canada, so imagine how hardline traditional the local Chinese are in China. Feminism is also illegal in China.

It is interesting to see. China does like to call out the West for "racism, mysogyny, whatever" as it knows Western leadership will fall all over themselves and throw their people under the bus trying to prove otherwise. However, China won't tolerate that cr*p in their own country. Here's a small but I believe significant example:

Under China's New Law, Divorced Women Can End Up Homeless - TIME

TL;DR: Too many Chinese women were marrying then divorcing men just to get half the house. So Chinese Supreme Court changed the interpretation of law such that any house purchased before marriage sticks with the buyer. Lets be honest, we all know its the men buying the houses.

China has a communist history (not exactly sure what it is now) and so does suffer from a lot of the problems that come with that. However I believe their triumph over the West, at least certainly over countries like my own (UK) is pretty much a given. One simple reason: Chinese leadership doesn't encourage Chinese people to suicide their own nation.

The West will have a hard time selling it's Progressive politics given how it is declining. Ironically, the West was selling itself out to China for decades. The Left in particular had a hard on for them, I guess they never considered all of those Trad Con ideas that China loves so much!

I have no problem with 'sissy men'.

Here's the way I see it: No one chooses to born a biological male, therefore they have no moral obligation to live up to anyone's expectations of what a 'real man' is. Furthermore, what society (and others) classify as a 'real man' is often to the benefit of society and/or women, and to the detriment of the man in question. It's a cheap manipulation tactic, no different than a grade school teacher giving out Gold Star stickers for children who are 'well behaved'. The fact that it's the authoritarian Chinese Communist government that is pushing the 'real man' agenda should tell you about how such a mindset is to the detriment of the individual.

Men who act 'like women' (whatever that means) don't hurt me in the slightest, and I think a lot of the resentment towards them comes from a crabs in the bucket mentality: "I'm having to suffer to meet arbitrary expectations, so why shouldn't they?"

That can be applied directly to mask and vaccine mandates regarding the resentment the vaccinated have toward the unvaccinated and their willingness to get sucked into group-think.
