Eleanor Williams: Barrow woman guilty of false rape claims

Eleanor Williams has been convicted of eight counts of perverting the course of justice.

A woman who falsely claimed she had been raped and trafficked by an Asian grooming gang has been found guilty of perverting the course of justice.


Eleanor Williams, 22, of Barrow-in-Furness, was found guilty of eight counts at Preston Crown Court.


She posted photos on social media in May 2020 of injuries she said were from being beaten but the jury heard she inflicted the wounds on herself.


One man told the court the false accusations had "ruined" his life.

Her Facebook post was shared more than 100,000 times and sparked demonstrations in her home town, however, the court heard this was a "finale" to her story and she had injured herself with a claw hammer.


She pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to one count of perverting the course of justice, which related to contacting her sister and mother with requests for them to take a hammer to her solicitor.



The photos of her injuries went viral on social media


Jonathan Sandiford KC, prosecuting, said Williams had gone online to "effectively find random names" to present as either victims or perpetrators of trafficking.


Some of the people she made allegations about were real while others did not exist, the jury heard.


She had sent some messages to herself, and in other cases manipulated real people in to sending messages she then claimed were from abusers.


A Snapchat account Williams claimed belonged to an Asian trafficker called Shaggy Wood was found to be the account of a young white Essex man called Liam Wood.


Mr Wood worked in Tesco and had believed Williams was a friend from Portsmouth who was planning to visit him.


Another Snapchat account of an alleged abuser was created at her mother's address, police found.



The court heard she fabricated text messages from her so-called abusers


Williams had falsely claimed business owner Mohammad Ramzan had groomed her since the age of 12.


While under cross-examination, Mr Ramzan asked defence counsel Louise Blackwell KC: "Don't you think you have put my life through enough hell, or your client has?"


Williams said Mr Ramzan had made her work in brothels in Amsterdam and sold her at an auction there.


However the court heard that at the time, his bank card was being used in a Barrow B&Q.


Another man falsely accused of rape, Jordan Trengove, told the court the allegations had "ruined" his life.


Honorary Recorder of Preston Judge Robert Altham adjourned sentencing to March.

Btw, just to be clear, "perverting the course of justice" is the UK-English term for "obstruction of justice."

This is so disgusting on so many levels it renders me virtually speechless. It has to be an eyeopener for the courts when women go to this length to cash in on the perverted stance that the courts have positioned themselves in regarding these allegations.
The courts are blindly believing the word of women and willingly destroy men's lives without any hesitation. No wonder women try to take advantage of this when the outcome is virtually guaranteed. Shame on everyone, women and courts, who make this even possible.

Look into those eyes of hers. Plain, self-serving evil. That’s a creature without a conscience whose sole purpose is to manipulate and exploit the victim role to get what she wants while she systematically destroys others.

I believe women...are all capable of all of these.

I believe women...cannot be trusted.

I believe women...are children in adult guise.

I believe lots of other things about women. But you get the idea.

The Modern Woman is the biggest liability and most dangerous thing known to Men. Almost every interaction with them should be treated as a ticking time bomb. You don't know when it's going off but when it does you'll be the one around to suffer the effects of it. The Modern Woman can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead and/or ruined.

Maybe she found her source of inspiration with the Amber Heard / Johnny Depp abuse story...

Her mother, a local politician says that she still believes her daughter is telling the truth. Talking about sticking together despite the truth coming out.

My 8 year old daughter told me today that my ex, her mom, told her that I physically and mentally abused her when married. That bold faced liar should rot in hell. Even when they have little to gain, women still can't be honest and truthful.

Women see lying as no big deal to them regardless of who they hurt and destroy with it. Lying to them is like waking up and brushing their teeth everyday.

A woman's thought process is driven by her emotions. Therefor her emotions are reality to her. Logic and truth has no bearing on her reality.
