Anyone notice that women who smoke/drink hit the wall especially hard?

I’ve noticed this in probably 80-90% of the women I’ve seen that smoke cigs/weed/drink regularly. A woman that has lived a “clean life” (probably includes not being banged by 100+ men and being on all the psych drugs) can sometimes maintain some degree of youthfulness into her early 40s especially if eating healthy/exercising/low stress (has some money). However, I see women that have lived “dirty” and they often look old at 34 or 35. Especially so at 40-42.

At 25 or 30 they likely felt invincible like nothing could touch them…but approaching those mid 30s and beyond seems to be where the lifestyle choices from 17-30 really catch up.

Yeah, smoking and drinking alcohol don't do the body any favors. Learn from that. That shit will trash your health too if you let it.

    Interesting.

I’d be curious as to whether this is cause and effect, or maybe there’s something else going on?

There’s no doubt that smoking and drinking have disastrous effects on the body, but for that to be evident in a 30-40 something’s looks seems implausible to me. The damage on the inside being rarely visible on the outside (IMO).

I’d suggest that what we see is the culmination of stress, of constantly making bad decisions that backfire on them because they have a tendency to act on impulse instead of reasoning.

This increase in stress levels then leads them to seek solace in smoking and drinking in an attempt to mitigate and deflect from their mistakes. In other words, the smoking and drinking is (maybe) a symptom rather than the cause.

Show me a woman in her 30’s – 40’s that has hit the wall hard and I’ll show you a woman that has had a rough life winning and losing many battles.

Their problem (generally speaking – of course there will be exceptions) is that they create the battlefield and every loss takes its toll and it shows.

I smoke. I drink. Both to excess for most of my adult life and no doubt this is having a disastrous effect on my body, but you’d never know it to look at me because my life is mostly stress free. Grey hair aside I could easily pass for someone 5 or even 10 years younger than I am.

There is even some evidence to suggest that smoking and drinking help reduce stress levels, although to be honest I’m dubious on that point, but if true what would they look like if they didn’t smoke & drink?

Leading an “exciting” life full of complications sounds enticing, but it obviously takes its toll especially on outward appearances.

    In my opinion.

It's real, but probably depends on genes. Smoking for some seems to damage the skin similarly to being out in the sun a lot. I knew young women in their early 20s who smoked and already had the skin appearance of age 30+.

Also, smoking or heavy drinking is part of fast living, which we all know is unhealthy.

Harder drugs especially take a toll. Two years of steady meth use will age a person, especially a woman, 20 years. That's not any exaggeration.

Definitely a correlation and a good predictor, and never mind proving cause and effect.

Especially drinking. Drunk chicks are the worst.

I think you can often see effects of drinking alone also…especially in women getting near 40 who still drink a lot. As mentioned this could be compounded by the stress of underlying mental problems. And from my experience a lot of the women who drink also smoke and generally have other destructive behaviors.

I used to frequent the bar six days a week. There were a few women who were regulars (mid/late 30s and early 40s) who had the beginnings of that mummified skin appearance on their faces. The one where the skin starts to wrinkle above their lips and on the corners of their lips. Most were single mothers of course. Most had been bar flies since their 20s and had probably given a slice to every guy in the bar over the years.

One of them had a habit of getting drunk on a regular basis and had to have her mother pick her up and escort her out of the bar, while the kid waited in the car. Pretty fucking pathetic.

Alcohol and cigarettes helped send these dizzy twats face first into the wall.

I grew up and still live working class so I’ve seen many of these girls…some in my family. And yeah, those wrinkles around the mouth/eyes are a dead give away for a woman that has smoked and likely drank beer/liquor for a while. These wrinkles are something I generally think of as showing on a 50+ woman. Part of them showing up is that constant puckering of the lips around cigs and beer bottles.

Let one of these women also be the type that likes the beach/sunbathing and you get someone like my aunt — slim blonde…smoker, drinks beer, used to tan with baby oil in the yard in the 80s/90s and always had new “boyfriends” (3 marriages/2 kids by different men). By her 50s, her skin looked like the oldest dried out leather you could possibly imagine….I’m talking hard to look at. She lived it up as a typical dumb blonde for a long time, but her life ain’t so fun anymore as no decent man would go anywhere near her.

Guys can get aged some too, but with facial hair they can cover it more…plus a guy looking older is a little different. Guys most often never get by on looks alone so “losing” some of their looks ain’t a big deal. Most men learn to be self sufficient in some way because they know simps aren’t coming to bail them out.

As an ex-smoker I know what some of the effects smoking has done. I can see it on others as well. Women can show signs when smoking 10yrs and more. I never noticed the signs as much when I was a smoker...

Hitting the Wall: Smoking and drinking accelerates the speed. Stress and drug use also adds fuel. Extra weight can somewhat hide the effects as fat tightens the skin.

Whatever the choices were when we were young, at some time we will have to pay the piper...

I used to work in a profession where I got to see people insides and not knowing a thing about them, once you crack open the chest you know if they're a drinker/smoker. Alcohol use leaves your organs a mess, and a smoker (no matter how little) leaves this brown oily residue all over your insides. I'm allergic to tobacco products and I've been amazed when I was still dating, how many women lie about the habit.

That’s interesting how you can so clearly see on the insides. I used to see a lot of women that would mark “occasionally” for smoking…as if there’s a such thing as the occasional cigarette smoker…maybe 1% of smokers. All I met ended up just being regular smokers once they saw I was a smoker (was!). Of course they all put “socially” for drinking but a good percentage I met were clearly regular drinkers. Some even alcoholics…several asking me to bring them alcohol on the first meeting.

When I tried to quit smoking about 6 years ago, I tried advertising that I was pretty straight laced, but ended up with someone I found out had been a heavy pothead since age 16. Damn the luck. Of course she was perfectly ok with me smoking cigs…because I find out she was always a cig smoker too. She was ok with drinking too. Very insidious how “socially” can turn into seeing the same few friends 1, 2, 3+ times a week to get high and/or drunk together. Then your WHOLE life starts getting planned around your cigs, booze and drugs. Once I realized how fucked up living that way was and clawed myself out of the hole…of course the girl wanted nothing to do with a sober guy. May have saved my life that she didn’t though.

At music festivals, the drugs are everywhere. You think smoking cigarettes is wrecking them? It's many things, the alcohol abuse, the late night partying, the cocaine, the molly, the ketamine, etc. Most of the guy wooks "new slang for hippie" are utterly and absolutely blue pilled beyond any kind of reproach and live the same kinda lives.

    Yeah I noticed that too

I remember meeting up with some old high school classmates a 3 years after highschool. The girls look so weathered that I could hardly believe it was the same person from back then.

I was pretty saddened one girl I will admit I thought was pretty cute back in school. When I saw her again she hit the wall so hard and fast, it was a bummer. I was about 25 at the time so she had to been like 22-23. I didn't knew her that so I guess she was living the fast life.

Just goes to show if you party hard you will age hard

After checking out sugar baby sites I can attest that it's not just older women who are hitting the wall hard. Younger women as in 18-25 also seem to have poor complexions and signs of bad health. Even when they are slim there is still cellulite and premature wrinkles. I am nearly 50 and look younger than a lot of them.

I would put it down to poor diet, too much partying/not enough sleep, alcohol and drugs, cigarettes' and in Australia in particular too much time in the sun. Australian women look 60 by the time they hit 40.

Probably so…but the vast majority of men aren’t riding the wave of their looks being a huge meal ticket in life. A man that looks 48 instead of 34…not so big a deal…grow a beard and enjoy your more “distinguished” looks.
