I don't know your friend or his wife etc. but your friend's wife is a woman, they don't think like us men. Women have different needs in marriage. When they have everything given to them Briffault's Law kicks in and there is no point of them hanging around. Yep, I noticed that with every woman I ever went out with. I'd run the show and take no shit, she was all mine. I'd start being a compliant gentleman & care for her feelings, and she'd start looking around. Every single time. Is it any wonder I'm done with that circus for good? I've made a boatload of bad decisions in my lifetime, but I made two decisions that more than make up for all of the bad ones: 1) I never got married; 2) I never had kids.

If we were flies on the wall, we'd have probably seen the usual- marriage settled into a status quo. She lost "the feels" (emotions driven by the drama of highs and lows). She began to seek "feels" elsewhere. Blamed him for driving her to seek romance elsewhere. Meanwhile your friend has been numbed by the constant barrage of emotional tests and manipulations over the course of marriage. The divorce seemed to come "out of nowhere" to him. Yada yada, the same story play out thousands of times a day.

During a “trying to work it out” stage, I called mine out on a lot of BS about how irresponsibly she was living and of course she hated taking any responsibility for anything. She proceeded to make friends and start hanging out with some fat, ugly, depressed, super liberal/alcoholic, butch, lesbian women from work (an animal clinic). At that point I started hearing about how I was abusive and how they were her best friends who would do anything for her. I then sorta knew she was lost in a web of man hating female stupidity.

At the risk of offending literally everybody, the way you describe it doesn't seem THAT bad.

It sounds like she wasn't getting the tingles anymore, decided that was grounds for divorce and so she engineered a plan that she then put into motion and is now divorcing him.

I mean, that sucks. And I feel bad for the guy.

But the way you describe it makes it sound like there wasn't any infidelity involved. Based on what you wrote, it doesn't seem like she was banging Chad and Tyrone behind the scenes. She's just another flighty woman who is filing an arbitrary divorce and in ten years, she'll probably figure out what a colossal mistake she made.

I'm not saying any of that is good. I'm just saying it could've been a LOT worse based on the facts presented.

He's following her to a life of emasculation and utilitarian service to her entire family, he won't be able to think or act for himself, the tribe elders will do that for him. His oysters are going in a garbage disposal and down the drain.

This precise situation happened in my divorce. It was clear as day how her attitude towards me would change after she'd spend some time texting and/or hanging out with her divorced "friends" and socially/sexually frustrated female siblings (the older fugly sisters!).

Once, I even saw a couple of texts from her mother and a fugly older sister, on my ex's mobile's front screen, telling her how "GJ isn't a good husband for you" and "you are so pretty and nice, you deserve someone better, who treats you nicer"! Red Pill translation: "GJ isn't a completely broke down slave to you! You deserve a spineless servant with deeper pockets who will worship the ground you step on and fulfill all your never ending narcissistic desires"!

And all this after I'd been more than an outstanding man in her life: I'm very fit, healthy, no vices, no debt, great father to "our" son, higher education, focused on having a great life and so on!

Yeah, my ex wife tried this one on me, right after we had our son - I believe my boy was just under a couple of years old.

Me and my ex met, got married, lived together and still live to this day in a major city very far away from both our families. Her hometown is a shit hole in the middle of nowhere about 380 miles away from where we live - even farther away from the ocean, which I love! It is a nice little town, but BORING AS FUCK! Whenever I'd go there for her family gatherings, I'd want to poke my eyeballs out with a fork out of boredom! All these hicks would do is get drunk on beer and gossip about the people in their little town.

So, just a few months after our boy was born, my ex suggested that we move to her hometown, so "we" could be closer to "family", and it be "easier and cheaper" to raise our boy in a much smaller town.

I looked dead serious straight into her eyes and said:"if we move to your town, to be close to your family, in about a couple of months time I'd be so fucking bored and depressed that I'd either become a hardcore alcoholic or frankly suicidal".

She just stood there in silence with her jaw dropped in disbelief. She never brought up that subject again.

Mr Wombat, I feel sorry for your mate, for he will certainly become his wife's and her family's little bitch! My deepest condolences!

Hopefully, they were childless. Hopefully, he wasn't fulfilling a 'Provider & Protector', aka financial/physical slave role. Hopefully, whatever assets he brought into the relationship he can keep. Hopefully, she doesn't destroy him with false accusations.

Hopefully, he finds MGTOW and learns his lesson, like so many of us here have.
