I'm just adding that MGTOW will never be anything more than a group of males echoing anti-feminist sentiment back and forth. Because we have absolutely nothing in common but our anti-feminist sentiment. So that's MGTOW's ultimate fate, and the best we can do as a group: An echo chamber for anti-feminist sentiment. That's it. That's the best we can do.

Furthermore I'm fine with that. But apparently Jagrmeister isn't fine with just being an echo chamber for anti-feminist sentiment. It seems Jagrmeister wants something more from MGTOW: Some kind of positivity and constructive attitude. So I was just pointing out why that's not going to happen. Moral monism tends toward paranoia and bitterness, not positivity and constructive attitude.
I think we've done more than that. You guys were really helpful when I was cleaning up and organizing my total mess of an apartment. With your help, I've turned it into a place that's great to live in and that I'm proud of. You were also a big help in my getting motivated to improve my diet and to finally exercise. Then there's my guitar playing, and language learning. Also, improved, and you mates were with me every step of the way.

Yes, we've gone heavy on bashing feminism. And, like you, I'm good with that. As I said, feminism deserves every bit of vitriol that any man can muster. It's a sick, evil, and destructive ideology. If I had a way of destroying it, I would. Since we don't, we use MGTOW to protect ourselves. I don't want to end up one of the poor, unfortunate souls wasting his life in prison thanks to a fake accusation and unjust feminist laws.

Sure, some people tried to inject some positivity and mentor younger members. Personally, I tried to moderate the anti-female narrative with a counter-narrative that blue-pill simps are more to blame for our situation today than women are.

But whatever. For the most part, we're still basically an echo chamber for anti-feminist sentiment. And after 10 years, Jagrmeister has gotten tired of dealing with the bitter, paranoid side of GYOW. So I'm just providing my two cents on why we are always going to have a tendency toward bitterness and paranoia.

But I'm glad to hear that the message board has helped you personally. You seem like a good guy. Either way, I wish you the best!
Where women have power over men, it's usually because blue-pill simps give them that power. So let the blue-pill simps live with the consequences. Today's world isn't of my making. I just recognize the realities and set myself apart.

I don't hate women. I just don't want women in my own life. Females bring entitlement, strife, and drama; as a result there's no peace or relaxation when they are in my life. So I avoid them. They go their way, and I go mine.

In the case of GYOW, our moral yardstick is based on a single principle: Our disdain for women in particular and for gynocentrism in general. That's moral monism.....

How do you fix the problem of moral monism? The opposite of moral monism is moral pluralism. With moral pluralism, you embrace multiple moral principles, and you try to work out a compromise between them. For example: "Rich people are necessary for building a strong and prosperous country and should be allowed to keep as much of their earnings as possible. But poor people should be helped when possible via social safety nets. So there should be a certain amount of taxation of the rich to help the poor."

Sad to hear that the forums will be shutting down for good soon. It's been a fun time despite the short time I've been here. I hope you see you guys again sometime.

    Lol. Thanks!

I didn't realize that there were any problems to solve. To me, MGTOW was simply about anti-feminism. When I felt like pissing and moaning about women, I would sign up at a MGTOW-oriented forum, vent for a bit, then disappear again once I got it out of my system. It didn't occur to me to want to do anything more than that with the community.

But I figured as long as you were talking about the negative side of the community, I might as well put in my two cents...

Anyway, thanks for hosting this site all these years. I was on MGTOW.com way back when, and even though I didn't sign up for GYOW right away, I did lurk here occasionally across the years.

I want to also give a shout out to Unboxxed. Dude took moderating responsibilities more seriously than any mod I've seen either here or anywhere else I've managed communities. Not just Mod but Admin responsibilities of the entire site, esp. significant as over time I spent less time here. Not only did the work but also proposed new ideas and processes.

In the beginning he used to regularly send me 3 page reports of problems he identified or proposals LOL; and I had to gently ask him to summarize the issue. The work and passion to improve this place was clear. Didn't always agree on everything, no 2 people do, but we found a way to resolve our differences routinely. His work was appreciated.

Thank you, gentlemen - for this excellent community of men that dared to look at life as it is, and not mince words about the reality of female nature.

It was a joy participating to this forum.

I'm sad to see it go away, and humbly believe that living a life completely ignoring pussy is not incel-dom.
    Oh well.

    Goodbye, brothers!

Sorry to hear about the site, but I appreciate having the time I did (and will) on this board.

For the monism, I get the message BUT I think it's good to cover something from all angles. The female imperative has been weaker and stronger socially in history and we happen to live in one of the stronger (maybe strongest in recorded history) times for that.

Also think there are plenty of good ideas on this board as well as the Femstuff, for example I enjoyed the home org threads.

Appreciate my fellow board members and of course the Mods!

    Thank you.

This is a sad loss. First MGTOW.com was sold off and now this; just as I was comfortable here. You guys have been real good to me and that's a big deal to me, because growing up, people would tease me about my autism.

Im gonna miss you guys. This site was my saving grace after coming home from work. Whenever I heard a simpy song I thought of mgtower's thread. I enjoyed the threads where we'd debate and just keep a convo going.

Many many great memories here. You guys helped me with my mom dying, being homeless after a fire, dealing with red pill rage when I first arrived 6 years ago, and so much more.

Thank you all so much. I love you guys. *BIG HUGS*.

I think main core of members here are already well versed and most of the new members we get are trolls anyway so in that respect the work of the forum is done. MGTOW is either well known by many men now or simply a case of men walking away like I did at a young age without even knowing of MGTOW itself, in fact when I walked away the term didn't even exist nor did the internet.

Still a sad thing though. I don't think I can be bothered finding another MGTOW site.

Re: After almost 10 years, GYOW is winding down (we will end the forums on May 10)

This sucks to read, but completely understandable. I found this forum a valuable resource when I started getting into all this in 2020. Without MGTOW I wouldn't have been able to properly piece together a unified, cohesive picture of society, sexual relations, all that jazz. I was just floating with bits and pieces in my head and was frustrated with myself and the world. Thankfully I ended up discovering it somehow (I still don't remember how I came across MGTOW) and was able to put myself first and understand my own position. Thank you all for that.

I do hope a lot of the "Best of MGTOW" content is archived somewhere. Despite the topic being overrun by incel/blackpill ideology now, I would still want men to come across the content from the early 2010's as it really helped distil the movement of the day, in a calm and intellectual manner, as well as help predict the direction we're heading in.

Best of luck to you all, I probably won't make any more comments on the forum going forward. I hope you all stay well, stay healthy, and are at peace.

Particularly for my fellow Australians; I don't think there's any glimpse of hope for us with the way laws are changing, and inflation's getting rough. I myself will be looking for a one-way ticket out of here as soon as possible.

Re: After almost 10 years, GYOW is winding down (we will end the forums on May 10)

I can definitely see the appeal when it's costing 5 digits a year, that's pretty insane overhead - appreciate having the forum to shoot the shit - no doubt it did far more good than harm for men.
Don't really consider whining about woman constantly as Mgtow - anyone with a rational & questioning mind would come to this door eventually, the statistics are a google away for anyone with 2 functioning neurons.

Have heard more mention of co-workers not moving out, their kids living with them in they late 20s cause shit is expensive - avoiding relationships. Not incel effects per se but the societal issues that lead questioning men to MGTOW are noticeably affecting the common sheep that even they can't help but baaah to each other about it. It's definitely more widespread in all ways.

Barbarossa & Stardusk always my go-to for actual MGTOW's that think about how we got here and why things are - instead of screaming at the current void of swirling stupidity.
We're in another Rome scenario, big deal, it's happened before - maybe if the majority of people smarten up we'll avoid the fallout - could care less either way.

Re: After almost 10 years, GYOW is winding down (we will end the forums on May 10)

Let me get this straight, over the past year mandatory intros were done away with and now the mods are overwhelmed and somehow this is blamed on some nebulous problem with MGTOW? It seems like going back to some of the old techniques such as only opening new registrations for a short period of time, requiring introductions, and then having time for the membership to collectively vet the new members would take a lot of the strain off of the mods and staff.

Of course there is a level of negativity/griping/ranting/venting inherit in MGTOW. Heck, it's a characteristic of being human. Thing is, there are few places in this world where men can really discuss things at a deeper level with each other and this is one of those very few places and should not be discarded lightly. going through the light hazing ritual of posting an intro and being vetted resulted in a consideration that participating in a site like this is a privilege to be treasured. The ease of becoming a member takes most of that consideration away leading not to a sense of privilege but of entitlement.

Nine years ago jagr was the first I heard from after Nacho nuked that board. He provided a life boat of sorts for a lot of us until this site and another were put together from the ashes. I truly hope something can be worked out that this site will continue in some manner.

This forum.never had anything to do with incels that I noticed. I'm the opposite of an Intel in that I have throughout my life been turning women down --not the other way around. Men's biggest problems are caused by ignorance of how things really are, that's the red pill. To me it has very little to do with being anti anything.
