Agents of deception to keep women on the consumer treadmill as long as possible while brushing aside thousands of years of observations, wisdom and hundreds of years of science.

I don't pity the fools that buy into this garbage anymore because the information is out there on the internet for all to see and read.

I love the Adam ruins everything series. But the episode in question is pure bullshit. It all depends on the person and genetics. I've known women in their 30s and 40s that gave birth and the children were fine. I've known women in their 20s that gave birth but the children were born with something wrong with them.

My mom had me at 36 and my brother at 38. He had life threatening complications during his birth that luckily turned out ok, but he's at higher risk for disease for the rest of his life, and he does get sick often from what I see. I have a strong immune system, but I also was born with a minor muscular defect. Both of us probably have testosterone problems, but we haven't had it checked out. Having kids late is evil. If my brother has major medical problems in the future, it's her fault, plain and simple. He takes care of himself, but he was not put on the best path by my mom's choice.

I say, do what you want but the last two births in my family were both to women in their forties. One had major complications with mother and child hospitalized for over six weeks. The other had a child with Down's Syndrome. Not blaming anyone; just sayin'. I've learned from experience that if you took all the experts in the world and laid them end to end, they wouldn't reach a conclusion.

Secondly, always look to the economic interest. The (ugly) woman researcher is promoting a book, so her 'data' is automatically suspect. IMO Also, she proves my second corollary, that any woman can get laid if she's just willing to spread her legs. Who in the world would want to have a child with that beast?

Indeed, no need at all if you want to have a child that will require constant care and attention for ever, or maybe even die at birth and take the mother with it!

Yes, she married a billionaire. She had every medical intervention known to man (multiple times, at a money is no object clinic) and was able to conceive. She also has a 5 year expiration on her prenup, so 5 years an 5 months later it was divorce city, and now she has a claim on $500,000,000. Of course it took all five years for her to find out he was controlling and abusive. BTW she did know he was an incredibly wealthy Arab sheik before they married. She even converted to Islam without, apparently, being aware that it might limit her behavior as a woman or mean any restrictions on her life.

I would also bring up Lucy Liu, star of Elementary. She just announced the birth of her first child, at the age of 44. In the footnotes, if you can find them, you will find that she had to be called on the set and told about the happy event. Yes, surrogacy (but only for women) is all the rage with the rich and well connected socially. She had as much to do with having this baby as she does with cleaning her house. Feminism is all about rich women freeing themselves from roles put on women by the evil patriarchy, and having poor women do it for them.

You bring up a good point.

Rich women using poorer women for surrogacy is celebrated by the masses. But when a rich man like Ranaldo does it he is looked down upon.

I find it fascinating that people have been brainwashed to believe rich women have struggles while rich men are to be blamed for all ills of society.

I like your observation of the consumerist treadmill, but marriage puts men on consumerist treadmill as well. He has to work harder and have less economic security once he has to pay for a new house.....and new furniture in the house (because she just wont let him put old furniture into the new house), etc, etc...
