Re: The Rough Guide to Single Moms

There is lot of truth in this article about single moms. By age 30 or so, there's plenty of them milling around looking for a "partner". Because their need is so great, they ramp up the intensity and seductiveness of the pursuit. And some can still appear very attractive. I met one in my late 20's. She was great looking, appeared to be hard working and fairly together. But there were the two spawns of the devil lurking in the background. As the article suggests, the kids are kept in the background until the new partner is drawn in. Fortunately for me, I had the good sense to avoid the situation. She went onto other targets. She's on her third marriage now.

Some blue pill men seem to have a self punishment complex. I know a guy who married a single mom at about age 50. Not just a single mom, but one with two "special needs" children. One is wheelchair bound, the other is now 30 years old and homeless, but comes around begging for help on a regular basis. And in addition the new wife promptly fell apart after the marriage. So now the guy has 3 dependents. Another sucker I know did the single mom routine twice. He married one while still in his early 20's. This marriage later fell apart, so he went out and did it again! He married his second single mom and took care of her children. He's now in his 60's and never had a kid of his own.

It's for sure something younger men need to be aware of, a huge hazard of the modern relationship scene.

Re: The Rough Guide to Single Moms

I'm dating a single mom that somewhat has her shit together. Shes stubborn about her independence because she's been screwed over a few times ("never again"). We're poly, so I do date others and see the danger flags.

But even though I think I have one that is NAWALT, I know that she can change and I will not sign up for that ride.

Re: The Rough Guide to Single Moms

It seems like after 30 90% of women looking for a date have kids. I get a kick out of the ones with like 4 kids that say crap like “I know my worth” or “my kids come first” as the first line on a description. These women probably “get around” more than any category of women because most men will just use them for a quick lay with no intentions of actually being around them.

Could you imagine spending your free time with a modern day woman and 2 or 3 or 4 kids that aren’t even your own?

On the eve of Independence Day in America, I content myself with the knowledge that one of my forefathers probably shot one of Spooky's forefathers.

    I'm out. Peace.

Reading through 4 pages of responses on this thread was a joy. Thank you, Chef.

Now, everyone likes to mention all the problems associated with dating a single mother, which is fine. Did you not know what you were getting into when you signed up for it??

I'm 32, so maybe I'm ignorant. Pardon my ignorance, please. But I find the mere THOUGHT of a woman who has had kids from a prior relationship as abhorrent and disgusting. Giving birth BREAKS the pussy, the body is literally not the same afterwards. Offering the womb to a man is one of the highest honours a woman can bestow upon him. And if she never offered me that honour first, then it's really more of an indignity to my self worth as a man.

I always go back the vehicle analogy, but it's so accurate and effective! If you were in the market for purchasing a vehicle and you managed to find one that LOOKED great, and for what seemed like a fair price point, but then you found out it's a write off from having been in one or more accidents, would you still prioritize purchasing it knowing the drivetrain is shot? It's the same thing with a woman, the effect of childrearing on the body is tantamount to the vehicular damage sustained in an collision. Her reproductive drivetrain has been extensively damaged. I'm not gonna trust it to reliably get me from point A to point B.

Furthermore, this information is becoming more widely known and accepted among men given the popularity of platforms like F&F, The Rational Male, etc. I would expect the REEfeminists to push back against this in a rather hard and arduous way. Expect much turbulence and shaming language in the days to come.

    Excellent analogy!
An escort is a woman you occasionally financially support only when she has sex with you.

A date is a woman you occasionally financially support in the hope she will have sex with you.

A wife is a woman you constantly financially support even when she is not having sex with you.

An ex-wife is a woman you constantly financially support with alimony so she can have sex......with someone else.

I'd rather rent a race car for a few hours every month than buy a used taxi that was sold when it became too expensive for the cab company to keep in repairs.

Plus in the race car it's nice and tight with a 5 point harness, unlike the Checker taxi cab with enough room for 5 adults and their gear!
In the beginning, it only ate men, now it's coming for the women and children, and nothing can stop it.

And you gotta always remember the kids may well despise you, because they know your not the real dad.I was that kid and I had that experience dating a Mombie for a summer. Weird seeing it from both sides. The kids deserve better.
