    Women drivers

    Another off craigslist:

I was riding to work yesterday when I observed a female driver, who cut right in front of a pickup truck, causing the driver to drive onto the shoulder to avoid hitting her. This evidently angered the driver enough that he hung his arm out is window and gave the woman the finger.
"Man, that guy is stupid," I thought to myself. I ALWAYS smile nicely and wave in a sheepish manner whenever a female does anything to me in traffic, And here's why:
I drive 48 miles each way every day to work.
    That's 96 miles each day.
Of these, 16 miles each way is bumper-to-bumper.
Most of the bumper-to-bumper is on an 8 lane highway.
There are 7 cars every 40 feet for 32 miles.
That works out to 982 cars every mile, or 31,424 cars.
Even though the rest of the 32 miles is not bumper-to-bumper, I figure I pass at least another 4000 cars.
That brings the number to something like 36,000 cars that I pass every day..
Statistically, females drive half of these.
    That's 18,000 women drivers!
In any given group of females, 1 in 28 has PMS.
    That's 642.
According to Cosmopolitan, 70% describe their love life as dissatisfying or unrewarding.
That's 449.According to the National Institute of Health, 22% of all females have seriously considered suicide or homicide
    That's 98
And 34% describe men as their biggest problem. That's 33.
According to the National Rifle Association, 5% of all females carry weapons and this number is increasing.
That means that EVERY SINGLE DAY, I drive past at least one female that has a lousy love life, thinks men are her biggest problem, has seriously considered suicide or homicide, has PMS, and is armed.
Give her the finger? Be careful brother....

I used to drive 148 miles round trip to work. I am a professional driver however, so if I gave the finger to even nut-ball in a car, my fingers would be worn down to the bone.

In the US, the driving tests are a joke and nothing but income for the state. If I had my way, anyone who wanted to drive a car would learn to drive a truck-tractor firsthand, so that they would KNOW what its like to have to do that everyday. I am getting real tired of the way car drivers treat real drivers, to be sure.

Cant do it, or you are too old? Then you receive a limited license that will allow you only on the freeways to go to work, and no where else. One would have to drive at 55 MPH off of the freeways if you wanted to travel any distance. You'd see the vehicle fatality crash rate drop like a rock if this were instituted.

I am not a professional driver, but I clock a LOT of miles driving all over the state for work.

I discovered that driving is a lot less stressful if, rather than thinking of other cars as vehicles driven by people, I think of them as features of the landscape.

    Re: Women drivers

I sort of got hit by a car crossing the street this occurred this past Saturday. Some old lady was turning right. The car made a full stop and I waited a few seconds and started walking. The car started rolling while I just in front of the car, so I put my hands on the hood of the car. You would think she would have noticed by now she kept on trying to go. Luckily this guy a few feet from me started yelling WTF around 5 times. It's only then the quick old hag noticed I was there.
Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless- like water.
Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup,
you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle,
you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

A woman once ran right through a stop sign and knocked me off my bike. She had the nerve to argue that I should watch where I was going. The thing is, I SAW her roll through the stop sign, but I assumed she was going to stop at the edge of the street, not plow right out into traffic.

I'm retired, but still work part time driving a city bus up and down crowded streets. I don't know how many times I've seen women with their F***** cell phones texting! I can't help but wonder: is it really an important message she's responding to? Doesn't she know that paying attention to her driving is more important than some f***** message!?!? ........... And it seems more men are doing the same.....

I know that a lot of folks think women have more accidents... but that might be due to something else... that when that sentiment was going around, there were fewer woman drivers....
since there was a smaller sample, it looked that they appeared more accident-prone... but, if you recall your basic math.. a "percentage" is a percentage of something.....
"I live in freedom, under my own flag." - Captain Harlock

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." - Arthur C Clarke

"Who's the more foolish? The Fool? Or the Fool who follows him?" - Obi-wan "Ben" Kenobi

"In servitutem redigi non recuso" - Latin (translates to "I refuse to be dominated.")
