    Thanks for the reminder.

When I first learned to program computers in the late 80's we learned a rule:
    Garbage In, Garbage Out.

Seems this rule crosses many boundaries, even medical ones.

It certainly appears to be governing social media.

    another lie..
    "Marriage is a wonderful thing..."
makes me consider what Groucho Marx thought of it... "Marriage is a wonderful institution... but who wants to live in an institution??"
(besides...there's been so many breakups among my relatives... makes me wonder if soured marriages runs in my family...)

now.. I know some religious types are going to say God created marriage..... but I wonder if marriage as we know it may have outlived it's usefulness in the wake of women now having a lot more life options than they did just over a century ago... back in the latter third of the 19th-Century, marriage was something of a necessity for women since they had few ways to support themselves otherwise...

    Re: "Great Lie"

The church used to enforce marriage on moral grounds (God made it, you entered into it, if you break your promise you're breaking a promise to God). The state used to, and still, enforces marriage on legal grounds. You entered into a contract with a woman and the state. The state has laws, and authority to enforce those laws. Marriage is irrelevant today because, despite being a good way for a man and woman to raise children, women leave marriages now as easily as they enter into them. Why? It benefits them to enter, and it benefits them to leave.

Shaming is becoming a less powerful force as the world of men awaken to their bondage. This "good men sign up for shitty impossible deals because they're good men" is now what is shameful. The shameful way men are manipulated into signing up for a deal that is of no use or benefit to them. The goal for men who want children should be gaining enough wealth to have children WITHOUT women. Of course, women who have children without men get much help from the state aka the taxpayer. And men who go this way will be on their own, no doubt.

But the point, now, is that entering into a marriage as a male in 2016 is simply no longer a calculated risk but a fools errand. The fact I'm agnostic makes it worse, I suppose, because I don't believe marriage is a contract between man, woman God and state, but man woman and state only. I've said it 1000 times. If we are God's children then he's guilty of child neglect and abandonment. Babies being born addicted to meth are not proof that goes doesn't exist, it's proof that if he DOES exist he's not going to do anything to intervene in human suffering. No matter how innocent those suffering ever are...

That's my position on it. If there's a supreme being, then he's already given us everything we need - I think begging for more things would probably just piss him off.

well... that depends on which translation you read... most I have say "kill"...
then again.. I'm against the death penalty, but not for the usual reasons.... I think there are some capital crimes so particularly heinous, that death is "too kind" or "grossly inadequate"..

the premise of the thread "in a few years" seems a decent lie....
I've been told that in some form ever since middle school.... never came to pass..

yeah, right.... I dont know about the rest of you, fellow taffers... but I was brought up on the idea that a "choice" implies that you got at least TWO options...
so just HOW could I have "chosen" to be single when my "options" were "be single" and nothing else... ????? (put simply, just what was my "Option B"???? Because as far as I could tell, there just wasn't any other option open to me...)

    Eiji my friend,

I could have been married but instead I chose to look past the illusion women were trying to sell me.
In the process I found nothing more than the illusions about myself in which I falsely believed.

Once I believed I was Chad F. Thundercock and had the medicine to back it up.
It wasn't true, no matter how gigantic my penis had become.

The worst lie I ever told myself was one a woman implied about me when I was present for her-
That I was no good, unworthy, unambitious and fixated on her cunt instead of what I wanted for myself.
She couldn't have been more wrong, and she couldn't have been more correct. To be precise,
she was correct for about one second and wrong ever after. She wanted to talk to me and I didn't want
    to touch her.

I believed the lie she told about me and started to lie to myself. I let one second drag on for decades.

The greatest lie is any lie anyone believes about anything and for any reason, despite any proof
    to the contrary.

Marriage is like Russian Roulette. Except your wife put in two more bullets and the death the bullets deliver won't be quick or painless.

    Re: "Great Lie"

To effectively combat lies, truths must be disclosed.
This is my truth about the Great Lie.

As long as any man is allowed to communicate with any other man,
no man truly is an island.

Once men are no longer permitted to talk with other men privately,
the assurance of our destruction as a species will be completed.

The idea that this is possible makes me nauseous as a man, so I
work like a madman to prevent it, however the maths bear it out, so
I am bound by logic to be a man first and a human next.

No matter which way things go this next Monday, women will either
force men to lose sleep or prevent a man from any type of rest or contentment.

Ghosting is only one way, but it is not the true way.
I have never found a true way, but I have found myself whilst searching for
    a discovery.

It only took many years of not fucking and going my own way, and
is only a piece of the puzzle, so far.

Wherever one loses himself, he also finds himself.
Whenever a man creates himself, there he truly is.
Whomsoever plays anothers' game only digs a pit for himself.

It's not much, but I offer it to my brothers in solitude first.
    Never give up on yourself.
Go your own way, before it is too late.

    Much love and respect, brothers.
