The Buddha's last discourse (and what he had to say about women)

The Venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: "How, Lord, should we conduct ourselves towards women?"
    "Do not see them, Ananda."
"But, Lord, if we do see them?"
    "Do not speak, Ananda."
"But, Lord, if they should speak to us?"
"Then, Ananda, you should establish mindfulness."

What is the definition of mindfulness? It is a technique where a person tries to notice present thoughts, feelings and sensations without judging them.

I found it from a YouTube video I watched from Yuttadhammo Bhikku's channel called 'avoiding attraction':

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUXiuZV0Bp0&t=645s

It is a slightly long video at just over 16 minutes but worth a watch, I think it would provide some useful insight in handling day to day interactions with women by establishing mindfulness and meditating on what we're looking at. It is a difficult teaching and even more difficult to practice, even the Buddha recognised the difficulty of controlling sexual urges but, it would go some way in trying to cut off more threads to the gynarchy.

Not sure, how about Philosophize subforum? Perhaps newer members are not familiar with that sub-forum.

Yeah, why not? It wasn't my intention to post in the new members domain, just forgot to check which sub-forum I was surfing and just ended up posting here.

I am generally not into religion and have a pet hate about indoctrination, but I found this video gave me pause for thought. He raises a few points that to me seem more like general good sense than indoctrination. I'll have to make a point of looking more into Buddhism.

I've always suspected the Buddests were onto something.
