A couple days ago I experienced a big one firsthand that I'd forgotten about.

No wife, no kids = getting sick way less often. They don't care if you're gonna get sick too [you've got shit to do], they just expect it.

They just "try" not to get you sick, which becomes a guarantee that it'll happen the next day.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

Well, I am a mid-forties divorced dad of two. What I enjoy MOST? Two basic things:

    1) ALL of the PEDANTIC SHIT I no longer have to do. Pick her up here. There. She's getting this curled. That waxed. This polished. That done. Buying this. Gotta go to THIS specific boutique store. To the mall. This mall that mall. Every square inch of every fucking mall. Gotta find an outfit for some kids birthday party. For HER. Great. Five stores later she finds one. Now we gotta find the perfect matching shoes. Doesn't she have girlfriends for this shit? I have yardwork to do...

    2) All of my ALLEGED SHORTCOMINGS that I am supposed to be constantly monitoring and reducing/eliminating.

I no longer have to do shit I don't want to do.
I no longer have to change things about me that I don't think need changing.

I do what I want to do. I act how I want to act.

Don't like me? Lemme help you find your way out... Door. Shove. Slam. Done.

I think you'd be asking the wrong person if I got asked that question.....
since I've known nothing other than being single and forced solitude... well.. I couldn't say because I simply dont know....

then again.. I still think being "fixed up" is questionable under the Fifth....

One of them is the ability to, on a given evening, be able to sit down and open a bottle of wine or whiskey and enjoy an entire symphony on my newly reconfigured stereo system.

No nagging wife or children to interrupt a single note of Wagner or Brahms.

Just being able to relax, listen and enjoy in total peace.

    So wonderful to be single.

My thoughts exactly. I have never had much trust in people and especially in females. From a young age I noticed they could act anyway they wanted and get away with it. That they brought drama to each other and any male around them.

I watched my own mother behave terribly during and after my parents divorced, the stuff she said to me and others was dead cold. My father wasn't great either but he didn't talk about the divorce in positive terms at least, not to me anyway.

While cruising with friends can be a good thing, solo bike trips are the best. Go where you please, stop when you want, you don't have to wait on anybody, or go anyplace you don't want to. Stick to your plan, or change it all, nobody cares. There's only one rule. Return home in one piece.

In the summer, you see family's on vacation. Guys going where there wives wanted to go, dining where their wives wanted to eat, and staying where their wives wanted to stay. Spending money like a sailor in port, and if anybody's grateful, they don't show it much. I see them everywhere I go.

I might be dirty and sleeping on the ground when I'm out there, but I answer to nobody.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.

    Hi Iceklimber,

You registered on this site on October 1, 2017 and have made only 2 posts since then, both made today. You have not met our Introduction requirement. We require each registered member to provide an Intro for our members to learn about you. There is a renewed emphasis on getting this done.

Please visit our “New Member Intros” sub-forum as soon as possible and read the sticky “How To Intro”. Then, in that sub-forum, create a new thread to be your Intro and tell us about yourself, following the three numbered discussion topics found in that sticky.

The Intro is your chance to show our membership that you are not a woman, a troll, or a trouble-maker. Therefore, we advise that you do not cut corners or be brief in your Intro or else it will waste your time and ours. To clarify, we are seeking your personal experiences and not philosophy or opinions of the manosphere, etc. as you respond to the three numbered topics.

A valid Intro is a requirement on this site and everyone had to do one. We look forward to reading yours.

    Thank you.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

I enjoy NOT being examined every flipping week as to whether or not I'm : bipolar, negative, commenting too much about the NEWS, depressive, angry, work too much, don't work enuf, have a blank stare, laugh too much, buying too much food, (I love to cook), how I can work after I came home from work, (I build cigar box guitars), & on & on & on. That's been over for over 4 years now. Now I do all that shit, sometimes in the same night, & I never get any shit for it. Freedom is priceless. Scratching my balls at will, & jacking off while I pause a movie is a big perk.
I know a few intellectual judge types are going to drop in here to evaluate & judge mgtow by these comments. Oooooooo. But, c'mon, you know you want to do all this stuff without looking over your shoulder.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

Blue pill society is trained down to the "need to take a shit" level of primitive brain-stem reaction to shame men who do not line up in the mating arena line.

    You WILL line up.
    You WILL be judged.
You WILL have your heart ripped out and your shit (and any children) taken from you.
You WILL, if you are a "real man", go to the back of the line every time.
You WILL, if you are a "real man", never complain or even dare think about the audacity of this game.

It's a helluva thing. But should it be a surprise that a small group of men, online, openly and vocally called bullshit to this shitty game and MGTOW was born? Actually, I think there always has been a small contingent of men who knew the game was bullshit, but it's this new group who are present online who have been given the moniker "MGTOW".

My uncle went his own way 40 years ago. Stopped chasing women and started collecting guns.

Well put, Insidious! If the blue pill game hadn't become so horrible. If the competition among the bottom 80% of men wasn't so fierce, many of us, myself included, would likely be on the blue pill plantation today. I would be slaving away at a desk job that was slowly killing me, so I could die before reaching retirement age. Instead, I have my health and am counting the weeks until semi retirement. (Those 20 hour work weeks are gonna be a killer, well, maybe not.) I'm not bragging, just pointing out the lurkers what's at stake here.
