What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

As I've stated before, a full 50% of participants in my MGTOW Survey said they'd have been eternal bachelors regardless of whether their country (mostly US and UK, with a smattering of Oz thrown in) was feminist/gynocentric or not. Coupled with the fact so many MGTOW are either INTJ or INTP, methinks the type of man who can truly go his own way is one who finds singlehood naturally preferable over marriage or even more casual LTRs in some cases. What are some of the things about the single lifestyle you appreciate?

    For myself, it's;
    1. The freedom of being able to come and go as I please. None of the "hold on, I need to call my wife" or "sorry guys, I need to cancel movie night...the kid is sick" that my married friends go through on a weekly basis. If the guys and I decide to go out for drinks and dinner, the only thing I need to check is how much I've got in my wallet. If our D&D session runs over and I'm not home till 2am, nobody is waiting for me to apologize for getting in so late.

    2. My home is my sanctuary from the world at large, and is exactly how I want it. Nothing is regulated to a closet or drawer unless I wish it to be. Books and DVDs remain alphabetized, videogames are unscratched, food is put away, etc. Pets are well cared for. Even little things like hair in the drain or a sinkful of dishes isn't an issue, since I do a top-to-bottom cleaning every other day. Growing up with 3 younger siblings who couldn't figure out how to use a toilet brush, much less load a dishwasher correctly gives me great appreciation for my "everything in it's place" mentality.

Speakin' entirely for myself, but I ain't bout that eternal bachelor life. Marriage is a raw deal, this much is obvious, but eh. It's nice to just be able to do my own thing. No self-censorship, no uneasiness, no nothing. Just get to chill out, and do my own thing.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

As an introvert, I find social interaction with the average person to be rather boring and thus, mentally draining. I hardly have anything interesting to talk about with almost all women and most men, and so am happier as a bachelor saving human interaction for a few like-minded people with whom interesting information can be exchanged. The rest of my time goes into relaxation, self-improvement, and hobbies.

    Choice.

If I want to get a dog, I can do that. If I want to smoke, I can do that. The hypothetical list goes on, but there is no compromise. I do what I want when I want and that's by far the best part of being single.

    I'm free of guilt.

Every relationship I have had involved some level of guilt. Cupcake wasn't happy for some reason and it was always my fault. I was too inattentive - she was never too needy. I made offensive jokes - she was never too humourless. I was too busy - she was never too lazy. I was too cheap - she was never too extravagant.

Life free of guilt. That is the best part of bachelorhood for me.

Don't have to drop your cash on mawwiage. Don't have to drop your cash on a ring. Don't have to be tied down by an anchor. Take a job wherever I want in the world and go there. There is no "we" making decisions. Ever realize, the insidious "we" only covers you? It is a control mechanism. If I want to go paleo for a month, no one will whine about it. No weakness in the house that isn't mine. Having cohabitated, you will notice that the weakness does come from the fairer sex. There was a time I would wake up at 4:45 am and do my stuff. She used to go, why're you up so early. Because this is what I used to do and I like doing it but no. Not enough for cupcake. Nothing is wrong about anything I do unless I believe it is.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

There are a lot of things about being a bachelor that I like, enough to write a whole list. However for me, one major thing stands out on that list. When I was in relationships before or when I was married at some point I would become filled with dread. I knew that I was either being played the fool or soon to be played for a fool and this did not sit well with me. I know it sounds strange, however it was a gut feeling to me and over the years I have learned to trust it. As sure as the sun rises, those gut feelings were always 100% correct. During anytime that I was with a woman, I knew eventually she would turn on me. Now I don't mean as in she is going to just leave me, that would have been easy to deal with. What I mean is that she will go from nice and friendly to trying to harm me as much as possible. I don't mean harm in a physical sense, I mean as in emotionally and or mentally.

For me it is the freedom from worry and stress that I value the most about being a bachelor. I don't have to worry if I am being used until she finds something that she thinks is better. I don't have to worry if I am meeting all of her demands or if she will take me for everything I have earned or will earn. I am able to enjoy a peace that I have never been able to enjoy with a woman. I enjoy a freedom that comes from knowing that a woman can never use her beauty or pussy against me ever again. About a year ago I was on a date with this one woman, she was very good looking and knew it. She was convinced that she had me and was very vocal about her past lovers to stir jealousy. I finally told her what her SMV was. The way I said it was "You do understand that I can actually bang better looking women than you for right around $100 dollars not just three hours from where we are sitting". The look on her face was priceless, all at once she figured out that her looks did not mean shit to me. As you can figure we parted ways, however the point is that good looking pussy is cheap. So if that pussy is so cheap then why should I put up with all the bad things that come with dating, mating and marrying it. So yes, freedom from worry, stress, heartbreak and bondage are probably the big things for me that makes me grateful that I am a bachelor.

The freedom to expand my body and mind at my own pace. Rejecting social conformity, rejecting others peoples expectations about how I should live my life, spending my time the way I want to and freedom from this.

I'm concerned that he enjoys his friends and hobby (rock climbing) more than me.
He knew I was alone. He was up until 11 doing nothing. He could've seen me. The next day he went climbing with his friend, didn't text me
Later on I found out he wasn't even studying. He just said that as a bigger excuse for us to not hang out because he wanted to be alone.

Wouldn't you rather try to help these married guys? Unless they are trying to shame you, of course...

I became a father at the ripe old age of 17. I got married to a different woman a few years later. Now I had a taste of what the courts can do, however I can no clue on the full story, nor what it can do to me. This was long before the internet and MGTOW did not exist the way it is now. If I knew back then what I know now, then of course I would not have gotten into the trouble I have been in. However this was not the case, I really did not have a clue on what was going on. Enjoying the suffering of other men is pretty screwed up, even if that suffering is by their own hands. I don't take joy in the fact that other men are getting raped by the courts or have their wives cheating on them. To do so would be saying that I am placing the same value on them that other women place on them. If I tell you that I am a MGTOW and I look at you as my brother, then I can take no joy in your downfall. Cut some slack on the men out their, after all no one else will.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

Blue-pill men are starting to take on the ideas of "waiting before taking on the next relationship", and being uncompromising in what they want from a woman, especially as they head close to or past their thirties. I'm heading to a party this weekend where the central focus is "feminism", and I'm going to be there to spread the red pill.

Choice, gentlemen and Tarnished. When you are a bachelor, you have choice. The further into being a bachelor you are, the more you realize just how much freedom you have. Look, this isn't something new. Tom Leykis covered this for years, for both genders. This holds true for both genders, empirically proven right before my eyes.

MGTOW as a philosophy is healthy for both genders. Turning inward for improvement, reliance and reflection should be the first thing everyone does before heading into relationships as it is. Knowing your own nature, as well as the nature of the opposite sex, is tantamount to knowing your world in the modern era. I would dare say they should make the red pill part of sexual education curricula.
Game. A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

What do I not enjoy? I enjoy everything that I am free. I feel the spring air and see the cherry blossoms. With every new breath, I feel like a baby breathes its first. Its fucking awesome, man.

What could a man enjoy if he's not free. Even if he had 10000 bitches on speed dial, he would still never be as happy as man that is free of this wretched society. The same society which needs our effort and sacrifice to run and gives literally nothing in return.

So yeah, it's pretty fucking awesome doing shit for myself

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

    A bachelor week:

    Monday to Wednesday:
Worked a lot from early morning to late night .. not once my concentration was disturbed by a wife calling me or children.

    Thursday evening:
The same, left at normal times, walked into an electronics store ... and came home with a Surface Pro 3 120GB and Smart-Cover.
Back at home .. no nagging was heard.

Friday: Worked until late at night, see Monday and had not to excuse to anyone.

Saturday: Early spring work, went to my little woods, put down hanging trees, mudded in the dirt with car and trailer and brought the trunks to the local mill to have them cut for further projects.

Had massive lunch (wood work makes hungry), spent the afternoon watching Starship Voyager Series 2 on Amazon Prime, surfing the web and setting up the Surface tablet.

    Sunday:
    Woke up at 8:00
    Took a dump
Went back to bed until 11:30

Made some cabbage-strudel with bacon, cheese and onion-creme, threw a plum-pie into the oven as I need to clear my freezer for this years harvest.

Had excellent lunch and will now have coffee and pie and surf the net for information about buying (with cash) a new car, either Ford Ranger XL with hard-top or VW-Amarok.

Every evening: walked the dog (10km quick-march) and cuddled my cuddly cat before going to bed.

Honestly, I have no idea how I could make a normal work week any better.

Dropping $500 on rock climbing gear (and a new pair of sunglasses, just for the fuck of it), because I CAN. Money spent on cunts in 2015 = $0. It's a beautiful day out there gentlemen, time to go climb some mountains!

Re: What do you enjoy most about being a bachelor?

This is what I enjoyed most, last week:

This is the "hard top" for the new dodger, or spray hood, I'm installing on my sailboat, Halcyon. We finally got warm enough weather for me to do the job. I took this photo while I was dry-fitting the top onto its frame, drilling for the fasteners and getting it ready to seal and set into place.

It replaces the old canvas top that came with the boat when I bought it:

The new top extends way further aft, over the front of the cockpit; far enough that I could get out of the rain and spray if I'm sailing on a sloppy day. It's also big enough to carry two 100-watt, flexible solar panels on top, and that's enough solar power that I won't have any worries at all about keeping my batteries charged while running my autopilot.

Tomorrow, I'm going to install the solar panels and run their power cables through the dodger's frame and into the cabin side. It's extra work, doing it that way, but I think it's justified. I've also got to install the braces, and the awning track for attaching the windshield and side curtains to the canopy; then I'll be ready to call the canvas shop, and have them make the curtains and fit them to the cabin top.

This is going to make the summer sailing season a little bit nicer, or rather, quite a bit nicer.
