women "civilize" men like gasoline puts a fire out.....

many men who think that women civilize themselves and other men probably use women to exercise the empathy part of their brain.

To misquote a politician, "it depends on the meaning of the word civilize."

In ages past, gentlemen made a habit of shielding ladies from the coarser, the dangerous, the unpleasant side of life. This stretched to being careful not to be vulgar, keeping one's behavior urbane, keeping one's speech "refined" ... as in the warning, "Gentlemen, there is a lady present." In other words, men acted "civilized" around women ... which can be stretched paper-thin to encompass the notion that "women civilize men."

Of course, that was meant by men to be a compliment toward women, or more cynically, an acknowledgment that women were "too delicate" to handle the truth, so let's entertain them with pretty lies.

The "modern woman," as we all know, is emancipated from all that. She is free to be as coarse, as vulgar, as pugnacious, as rude and nasty as any street punk - and even more to her "favor," Society will not permit any checks and balances against her rude, vulgar, abusive behavior. Until she pops the wrong dude and gets her clock cleaned - which is as heavily-condemned as it is rare.

You get from the table what you bring to the table....

Civilization is the process of making the uncivil civil.

Examples:
If I take property, that is theft. If government takes property that is condemnation, eminent domain, seizure, confiscation, or a takings.

If I snatch a kid, that is kidnapping. If government snatches a kid, that is child protective services.

.... et al.

question on my mind..... just who (or what) is going to make women sentient???? (after all, they sure don't seem to act the part.....)

Once upon a time maybe but I think women now destroy men.

It's ironic that civilization was built for women and they're also the cause of its downfall. They went from freebleeding in the savanna to driving around in air conditioned Lexus jeeps but it wasn't good enough.

I can see how one reaches this conclusion but I believe it is false.

The video seems to be removed. In any event, if there is any truth to this concept, then it is in fact men civilizing men in a foolish attempt to please women. Men need to get it through their heads that we did this to ourselves.

Translation: Women manipulate men to do what women want.
