Anything to get away from wife

This guy would rather go to prison than spend another day with her.

I have never been married or cohabitated, but stories like these always tell me I made the right choice.
To the brothers that have been married, I have always been curious how long did it take before she showed her true colors to you?

The fuck , i cant stay with my girl any longer than one night . In the morning its like an upcoming panic attack , i just have to get the fuck away .

I dont wanna hear her , i dont wanna fuck her , nothing .

Cause its always both tension and her constant talking and asking stupid questions . I neither listen to her nor i am bother to answer such lunacies to anyone . And she is not stupid in general but still .

How can you lust after the girl you live/sleep with is beyond me . For a month maybe while its new but beyond that its not for me .

Never married, thank Christ, but done two separate cohabitations. I'll gladly swing from a fucking noose before I do another one.

Perhaps joining a lodge might help...
Fred and Barney did that in the Flintstones
Mainly so they could have some "me" time away from their wives

That's one way to go... but "king of his castle" was turned into "man relegated to unfinished basement man cave, or garage, or tool shed" or he just went to the local pub, or perhaps a lodge as you say.

I think a man, who is doing the heavy lifting in bills and mortgage should have his 60" TV in the fucking living room right next to the dining room. This is to minimize the distance from the place where he eats to the place where he watches TV.

Fred and Barney joined the volunteer fire department to get away from their nagging wives.
Lots of men in the city did. Everything was made of stone so there were never any fires.

I understand both Bill Cosby and Richard Dawson tried to revive the show "You bet your life"..... but since they didn't do that well.. I guess there's no point in trying to top the old master (Groucho Marx)

Ripple grabbed nearly $3,000, sat in the lobby and told a guard he was the "guy he was looking for."
Any even mildly competent lawyer will get him off with the argument that it was never his intent to actually rob the bank. Oh he committed a few other offences in the process, sure, but not bank robbery.

As life gets harsher and more restrictive for men, we will see (if we are not already seeing) more and more men deliberately put themselves in jail. I spent a few weekends in jail. Low security. Every weekend, I could turn my brain off and never worry about a thing, never have to make a decision of any kind. I knew where I had to be, knew where my next meal was coming from. The boredom and confinement kinda sucked, but I can see the attraction and why people become institutionalized.

    From the comments:

Re: Anything to get away from wife

To be 70 years old and unable to have freedom seems like the worst punishment ever for a man.

I have seen it with my own older male relatives where they want to eat a little bit of cheese or meat and their iron grip, controlling wife shoots them down from even attempting a small piece.
