    Sex robot documentary (short)

It's fairly informative on the state of things with current technology, but the thing that interested me was how the feminist robotics professor was going on and on about objectification and misogyny and how damaging it is, but she doesn't say a thing about how robots on assembly lines killed tens of thousands of manufacturing jobs back in the 80's and 90's. (Probably cause it wasn't brought up, but still; she based her profession on these things, none of which are a problem in her eyes...)

Rather than merely providing an alternative to the jungle of sexual relations, these robots actively destroyed men, starved children, caused divorces and killed unions, and Oh My!! Well it's not like it was happening to REAL people (ie, vagina)... Even during the hub-bub back then, women were primarily pissed that their access to resources would be curtailed. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

She sees them as a threat to women's sexual dominance, and she's trying to put a stop to it, much like rad-fems are getting sex-doll brothels closed down on charges of objectification OF OBJECTS.

It's all about controlling male sexuality, and it always will be.
And it's nothing but wide open prairie...

There's something very fun about MGTOW. In an odd sense, like charting a new territory of the mind, or rediscovering a long lost civilization. Occult knowledge, secret societies, cannibal natives (THOTS), it's all very exciting... lololol.

I couldn't watch the video for more than a couple minutes. Men talking like girls -- I can take only so much of that before it starts creeping me out.

I get ya... there was this one clip in a Sargon of Akkad video of a very hairy man in full fake-up, talking about the importance of his/her/it's pronouns. That shit haunts my dreams.

Imagine you were born in 1900. You grew up being told, "If God wanted man to fly, he would have given him wings!"

A decade and a half later, the Wright Brothers did their first flight at Kitty Hawk, and a planes fly over the battlefields of WWI.

A few years later, London is suffering from the German "blitz," and on plane, with one bomber destroys Hiroshima.

You are in your middle age. You fly a propeller plane to where your son's wedding.

A decade later, you make the same trip in a jet plane, and watch men set foot on the moon.

You retire, you get old, but before you die, the earth is ringed with satellites connecting your phone call half way around the world, your grandchildren use flying machines as toys, and you can get a package delivered to you from across the country in less than 24 hours.

    ___________

In just 30 years, we went from VCRs, to DVDs, to streaming videos coming into your cell phone.

Porn paid for the development of photography, early magazine publishing, early film, the VCR, the DVD, inexpensive long distance calling, and the internet.

Imagine if these robots develop as fast as the cellular phone? Remember what cellular phones looked just 30 years ago? A big, shoe-boxed thing!
What makes you happy? What brings you joy? What lifts your spirit? What tickles your fancy? What complements your mood? What catches your eye? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=durbQ7nVfQ8

How do you look out for someone you love? How do you shelter their dreams? How do you cherish their innocence? How do you guide them through life? How do you watch over their travels? How do you show them you care? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd8PLHa6ec8

Totally agree with this. The miniaturization tech is already mainstream in other products. The necessary servo/motor tech is already mainstream in other products. The speech-recognition/response tech is already mainstream in other products. I hope the manufacturers understand that the shipping product doesn't have to be perfect (yet) to sell. As long as functional upgrades are possible, I say start building the things.

And, as I've said this before in another thread, I hope the manufacturers understand that a large portion of the buyers will be looking to these products as a source of companionship as much as or more than as a humanoid sex toy. I believe the uptake by that particular market segment will surprise everyone.
