    Reddit MGTOW Sub Censorship

It appears that MGTOW reddit sub mods have a female mod.
Past 2 days all my post comments simply get deleted/hidden .... All the while the mods don't have the common decency to inform me of such or outright ban me.
The comments still appear when I am logged in but not visible if I am browsing as anonymous user.
Very covert and cowardly behavior ...
Never allow a woman in the MGTOW community.

Even one cancer cell when not corrected will metastasize into another form of cuckery ...

You've been shadow-banned. In this technique, you are not supposed to be made aware. They want you to post away and be oblivious that no one sees your posts.

Still, I wouldn't have expected that on a MGTOW site.

You can message them and ask them why, and ask what was the post that did it. If you like.

    And/or create a new username.

Thanks. Will get in touch with the mods .... I rather be outright banned than have this cunt-like move pulled on me. Of all places a MGTOW sub. Wouldn't surprise me given its reddit though.
    Appreciate the feedback.

The people at reddit like to do this all the time. Not talking about /r/MGTOW specifically, but in general. I remember long time ago I posted a screenshot from a game to that game's subreddit. In that screenshot, they forgot to put panties on a female character and I took it from a "clever" angle.... and they shadow banned my post... it was a f'in screenshot and I even included [NSFW] tag, which was allowed at that time !!!

The point is, if you end up pissing someone off the wrong way but dont break any rules, or not break them enough, they will resort to these tactics.

This happens on any site where admins are selected by an automated voting process. Our enemies are *organised*. They are better at this than we are.

    Re: Reddit MGTOW Sub Censorship

You censor the opposition's ideas when you are playing with ideas so weak you don't expect them to survive contact with their's. It's a sign of weakness and desperation. You play poker and find yourself looking down at crappy cards, you fold and play the next hand. These little candy asses want to cancel the game.

Likely, the mod(s) who do that are the recent product of college campuses where they could shriek and whine and yell "triggered" anytime they heard an idea or saw a symbol that they didn't like, and they'd be ushered to a 'safe space' where they could be 'protected' from such trauma. At one point, I assumed they'd have to toughen up some when they arrived in the real world. While Reddit is not the real world, to them, it is. And so they try to recreate that college campus on Reddit, where they can feel protected again.

As the product of a decade of disciplined science training, I'd be embarrassed to have it known to my peers that I was afraid of an idea, or triggered by an opinion.

Reddit is such cancer, it's slowly devolving into 4chan but instead of constant trolling, it's persistent policing of conduct and PC virtue signaling up the ass. Not really surprised that moderation of the MGTOW subreddit has fallen to shit. I've seen it happen with the incel, trugamer and various other subreddits of various groups.

    Re: Reddit MGTOW Sub Censorship

We had a newbie registrant who came here only to post a string of filthy porn images on many threads and also sent the images as PM to our members, along with racial pejoratives. It was a lot of work to clean that up and of course members noticed. The Reports came in. As soon as I logged in that day, BAM! WTF is going on, I thought.

I banned him/her/it then he/she/it soon registered again and did it all over again, and I had to clean that up all over again. How long was this going to continue? It's like a fire alarm each time in that as Mod I have to react asap. The situation involved the registrant, me, and the members. Had that continued, and if I had had the ability to shadow-ban, I think a shadow-ban could have restricted the battle to just him and me, sparing our members, and would have allowed him all the time he needed to wind himself down without me having to immediately chase after him every time. I could just wait him out, then blanket-delete all the posts under his username. Not sure, though, how that would have stopped his PMs.

We also had an undesirable registrant who kept coming back under various aliases (six or seven) in a short period of days with his many bogus posts and that, too, might have been an instance where shadow-banning would have minimized the effort in dealing with him until he wound down and went away.

Other than those extreme cases of harm, as a person I am too forthright to view shadow-banning as a proxy for explaining to an existing member why he is getting temp-banned or perma-banned. And besides, every person, online or IRL, deserves the feedback of what happened or what boundary was crossed. Also, it's part of being a community that we not play fuck-you games with each other. Shadow-banning as an easy option sounds like an appeal to a moderator to give in to his/her darker side on how to treat fellow human beings. I'm not going there. Maybe other moderators will have better insight on this.

On this site, we do have a way to flag a username to withhold every new post until it's reviewed by a Moderator, but I do not have that power as "Moderator" to do such flagging. I have asked Jagr (the "Administrator") for that power and a few other ones, and he said he would look into it but I have not heard back.

I'm 100% permabanned from reddit at the network level and the device level. Any accounts I create are automatically shadowbanned, either from my home IP, VPN, or if I use my laptop at a friend's house. They tagged me as a serious threat, because a few years ago I was not ghosting properly, and I was trying to help guys out in other communities with solid advice and someone reported me because my words cut deep into the nerve, and I was full-on banned by the reddit super admins. It sucks actually, because there are a few tech communities that I want to participate in. But I concede it was my own fault for not ghosting my opinions well enough in the blue pill world.

Wow. Can your friend use his laptop and post on reddit, under his own username of course?

I am curious, and I won't say I can sleuth out the VPN stuff well. Does your VPN allow you to select from a list of servers which of their servers you can use? If they banned one VPN server, there would be others. Otherwise I wonder how it is determined that it is you on the VPN IP address that they see?

Haha, sounds like you had some fun !

Btw, tried some crazy method(s), like running a non-mainstream browser in incognito mode from within a virtual OS, and using network setup like tor through vpn, and as unboxxed above said, changing vpn servers ?

Not an expert in this, just guessing, never got that kind of ban !

Reddit, as well as many popular websites, outsource their blacklisting/abuse/spam protection to a dedicated 3rd party security company that uses proprietary and advanced technology to fingerprint and track users across different networks and devices. What they do is primarily fingerprint your device, which happens at a lower level than your web browser. This means they can detect your actual computer, so using a browser in incognito mode won't help. Once they have identified you, they then associate you with any IP addresses you have ever used in the past to access their website, and also any accounts you have logged into, and any other devices you have used to previously log into those accounts. So automatically, your phone and old laptop are also flagged as well, even if you haven't used them in years. Your residential IP address is then perma-flagged, so if you buy a new laptop and try to use it on your home network, that new laptop will then be flagged too.

My friend can use his laptop and post on reddit. However, if I take my laptop to his house and try to access reddit from his home network with my laptop, I put his access at risk and could get him blacklisted too. VPNs and public networks are treated more leniently, since they don't want to risk permabanning many innocent people. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it were no longer possible now to register accounts from known anonymous VPNs. I always connect to the internet with a VPN and have done for years, but recently I have started having problems accessing some websites behind my VPN, for example, I always have to disable my VPN to access one of my bank's websites.

Please see my above reply to Unboxxed. As for what triggered the ban, I think I know. I was in a subreddit called Digital Nomads, and someone was asking about Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and how to fulfil the "need" for intimacy while being nomadic. At that time, I had recently discovered MGTOW and dropped the red pill and I was raging. So I explained to him that intimacy and love was in fact not a need. I think I went into quite a bit of detail about "love" and what it actually is and isn't and how he had effectively been programmed with a psychological vulnerability to keep him enslaved into serving others, or something along those lines, and I probably deeply offended and triggered many people and got flagged as someone with serious mental health issues. Oh well...

Thank you for your explanation. Since I started using a VPN, I see that certain sites, like banks, won't let me access them through the VPN. Others will let me, but will say they do not recognize me and will then present me one of my security questions or want to send a validation code to my cellphone or email address.

Always remember that MGTOW is a philosophy and not a movement. MGTOW as a movement will always be corruptible. It can happen as described in the OP, or it can be discredited by a mentally ill Incel. I don't mean this to disparage the Incel community, but we have to admit that there is a rather large handful of crazy dudes out their as well. They put on the MGTOW label in an effort to gain some sort of respect where they still haven't earned it. I hate that I even need to say this but, "Not all Incel". God I hate this overly sensitized world some times.

MGTOW as a philosophy however, is bullet proof. As long as their are enough content creators out there spitting the truth, the philosophy will endure. The truth once heard, can not be unheard. It can at best, only be ignored.

I really think it is time to take sites like this to the dark web in some fashion. As long as they remain in public view, they will always be under assault. I have no idea how that is done though. I haven't been deep into tech for at least a decade.

I don't consider "incel" to be a derogatory term. It describes a problem that literally MILLIONS of young guys are forced to go through. The truth is, most men are incels at some point in their lives, because women are withholding unconditional intimacy from 90% of us, and young guys who have yet to build up any SMV have to suffer years of rejection and this destroys them on the inside. In fact, I have some degree of respect for those mentally ill incels, because at least they speak out instead of suffering in silence. However, I don't condone all the threats of suicide and violence. But at the same time I don't blame them. They are being shit on and rejected with no guidance and have lost hope.

I'm touched by this inclusive display of pronoun use!! hahahaha

Maybe we can have an acronym pronoun for trolls like them : SHIt, standing for She, He, It... She being first, women empowerment and all that !
