Red Dead Redemption 2 - NPCs

I guess pretty much noone on here follows gaming news but there has been the most ridiculous "controversy" over the last few days

Basically some guy on YT uploaded a video of him feeding an annoying suffragette to a crocodile and the usual femis/ lefies busted a guy and kicked off about it (we are talking one woman in game where you can murder ANYONE and I have shot and run down shit loads of men and women whilst playing). He got reinstated after he rallied everyone and his 1st video back was deporting a mexican! Epic trolling! But the newage NPCs/puritans are as bad as it used to be in the 90s with moral fucks trying to ban games....it is worse now because instead of banning games they want them as instruments of marxist crap (pushed by dumb white liberals who will be killed in the purges)

I long for the days when geeks like me enjoyed gaming and the hipsters and fake gamer girls were busy fucking something else up. I honestly blame The Big Bang Theory because it made all these fakes jump on the "geek" bandwagon and fuck everything up for people like me who have spent their whole lives gaming.

    Rant over!

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 - NPCs

Games have become big business unfortunately. That is a bit positive in terms of having more of a budget for games like RDR2, GTA 5, Witcher 3 etc. but mostly negative as the games are mostly soulless and used as mere vehicles for loot boxes, microtransactions, day 1 DLC etc. etc. nowadays. That's why I personally have shifted more towards Indie devs as they may produce a bit flawed/"rough" products, but you definitely notice that their heart was in it. I noticed lately that not that established companies from Poland and Russia are producing good games these days. I find it quite strange that in Germany there's next to nothing good getting produced. Hated Gothic & Risen as well so I wouldn't count that ... guess Far Cry 1 and Crysis come to mind. But that's about it.

Anyway, BTT I've heard about this "controversy" and yeah nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to SJW/NPCs. They are complete lunatics who have nothing better to do all day than to find the next "big" thing to get outraged about. They're a waste of air and space and should get dropped on some far away Island so we don't have to hear their autistic screeching anymore. Lol

Yeah I have become more interested in indie games as well. When things become too popular, the women tend to infiltrate and start their bitching. The mainstream game developers then start to placate the whistle-blowers and they aren't even their customers. The game suffers for it and becomes shit.

What has been rubbing me the wrong way lately is that the game is released in an unfinished state. These new games are going for $60 and require day one DLC. When I pay for something, I want a complete product. Indie games have quite a bit of hidden gems.

I have been returning to more retro games.

Yeah like that turd Fallout 76. Hell they've got no clue about multiplayer. And it runs on an ancient engine that clearly isn't made for a Multiplayer FPS survival game. The code leaves players vulnerable to doxxing and DDOS attacks. Shit's so bad it's kinda funny.

Yeah I have been seeing videos popping up on my youtube recommendations on how the game sucks or is in it's beta phase. Does it even have a single player?

That is the perfect example that you gave on how modern games are turning me off. I no longer know if I'm getting what I'm paying for.

That streamer got his channel back after an intervention by some well known 'tubers. Funny thing, noone was batting an eye at him mowing down a Klan ralley in that game.
Meh. The NPCs are starting to feel sympathy for actual NPCs. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad.

As for Fallout 76 Bono - pure multiplayer experience. The only NPCs in that game are the baddies that you pump bullets in. Beyond that, yea, they are using the Fallout 4 engine, which isn't suitable for multiplayer. It'll be a cheaters paradise. Avoid that game, it'll crash and burn within a month or two.

The AAA publishers (EA, ActiBliz, Ubi) seem to not have a clue anymore as to who their audiences are and what those actually want. My guess is that we'll be seeing a lot of remasters in the near future... just old games shoved in a new engine with new graphics. Since coming up with original ideas... yea, we all know how creative SJW infested industries are. I'm looking to the indy scene as well for possible gems. Aside from that, I'll just look to the past. Plenty of absolute masterpieces I've not played yet. GOG time.

Yup, Blizz just announced that they're doing mobile garbage for EVERY IP they own. Some on their own, some with other parties (e.g. Netease for Diablo Immortal). Nobody asked for this shit, nobody wants this shit. It's purely cash grabbing and clearly aimed at the Asian market. But they were made big by the western hardcore fans. Don't expect any loyalty from big companies is what we can take away from this.

There is a demographic component to mobile gaming. Women are more likely to play mobile gaming compared to PC gaming which is why the gaming industry is pushing for that larger piece of the pie. I saw this coming years ago with women talking about candy crush and Farmville.

You could tell that RTS, and MMORPGs have been on the decline as a result. MOBA still clings on because it is very simplified and enough to pull the mobile gaming consumer.

Not really - if they were aiming at a female market, they'd not do it with an IP like Diablo. The setting doesn't really attract a big female audience.
Bliz is aiming at the booming Chinese market. Where mobile gaming is big. They're going after Yuans and leave the Dollars behind. AAA publishers such as EA, ActiBliz and Ubi have dropped RTS as a genre because it's not as easily repeatably monetizable. There are still RTS games coming out, but from lesser known publishers. Old titles also hold their worth really well - games like Total Annihilation or Alpha Centauri are still very playable, and those are effin' ancient.

The saving grace of the MOBA is that it's become an esport. It's too simple as a PC game, too easily cloned. If it were up to the big publishers, we'd all be playing Heartstone or FIFA ultimate team. Virtual collectible card games. Thank GOG we don't have to.

    hello everyone

yeah that story is friggin hillarious and stirred up a controversial shit storm. Here's a video for those of you who would like to understand what happened.

in any case it is evident for some time now that feminist and SJW's are targeting the gaming Industry. I stick to old games now where developers showed actually some passion for their games. Today it's all about pleasing the shareholders. This whole lootbox shite is infesting every new game i came lately across. I guess I'll stop buying new video games it's as simple as that.
    Just my 2 cents.

They are definitely trying to aim for the SAHM that plays candy crush and farm ville with the gaming industries shift to mobile gaming. The mobile gaming market is not just big with Eastern Asian audiences (which is huge as Lineage Revolution shows). But they are also trying to capture that big audience in the western market.

That is why when articles cite there has been a rise in "female gamers" they are citing mobile gaming and facebook games and not so much the PC market.

The same guy (after being reinstated) uploaded even more triggering ones...one was deporting a mexican, and another was titled 'Red Dead Redemption 2 - What Happens If You Bring Black Man To KKK?'

    Me too.

I also don't purchase new games. I have an xbox one but I never pay full price for a video game. I have been having a lot of fun with xbox 360 games and they are still fun to play. I was playing "Call of Duty: Black Ops" xbox 360 game on the xbox one. The graphics are superb.

Buying new games is not appealing to me anymore because I don't know if I'm getting what I paid for.

When you buy new games on the Steam platform, you can get a full refund now. That never used to be the case though.

I'm kind of interested in Steam but don't know a lot about it. Do you get to play the games on computer?

Steam is an online game store, that enables you to pay for and download games online, thus not having to go to a game store. Mods are available for some of their games, some of the mods are free. I currently play a modded version of Civ5, for example. So, yes, you still are playing the game on your computer, but you are downloading it. Actually most of the newer games have to be downloaded as they are too large to fit on a couple of CD's. 6GB installs are not uncommon.

Everyone on here does get it! Yeah games going mainstream has pretty much fucked them up - once women get involved it all changes to suit them, helped by their eternal freindzone loser cucks who think sucking up to women will get them some...

Anyway the game is actually fantastic - my game of the year behind Yakuza 6. Without rambling on about how good it is ill just say I was on it for 3 hours earlier and did only one mission - the rest of the time I was fucking about doing challenges and exploring - as with the Witcher 3; that is how open world games should be.

So far theres been zero stronk wimminz but I know at some point a female cowboy is coming...i will just have to judge at the time if she ruins the game but with all Rockstar games - they usually avoid NPC crap so im hoping she is just a token bit part character
