These are the numbers of the online battle field

Online dating trends: Men outnumber women on Tinder by 9 to 1 ( while Grinder wins for age diversity) | Netimperative - latest digital marketing news

Men outnumber women on Tinder by almost nine to one, while even “female-friendly” apps like Bumble have fewer than 20% of Bumble users, according to new research.
There are no free meals as someone said about economics, I would add that there are no free way to interact with women effectively without any disadvantage.

That data must be way off! It's called POF for a reason! I'm not buying it! It's mostly females I see with their faces stuck in their smart phones ALL THE TIME! 9 to 1? 9 dudes standing around one chick? Social media? BULLSHIT!

Are they counting accounts or actual activity? I am sure that a lot of guys created an account, were sent to the catfish pond and left out of disgust. I would be more interested in swipes by gender.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was true. Most girls (especially hot ones) have guys trying to hit them up literally all the time. Everywhere they go guys are trying to talk to them or get closer to them. They have 4000 friends on facebook, and friends of acquaintances they went to high school with are hitting them up. They don't really need Tinder to meet guys.

On the other hand, even the hottest guys are still going to at least try Tinder. Pretty much every guy wants to get laid. Probably most of them realize what a waste of time it is after a few days and stop using it, as Boar pointed out. But in terms of number of users, I wouldn't be surprised if the 9 to 1 ratio was accurate.

Hot girls do not stay on dating sites for long .

They find what they want the very first month .

Or have to leave because the stalkers sniff out everything about them and they have to change all their contact details even their home address ...

There is the odd high SMV rock star looking for a real Social/Genetic Chad. And then she get's 10,000 messages from guys 3 SMV points beneath her. Must be frustrating. lol. But the vast majority of women on dating sites are hitting above their weight. Face it. They're the sought after sex, yet nobody in the real world will take them on. A bunch of 3's looking down their nose at 6's while holding out for a 9. Shrug. Let 'em. Just another way women end up childless at 40 and crying WHATGMG on the way to the pet store, or their frozen eggs went bad or some damned thing.

yeah.... seems women dont need apps or dating sites... so that ends up causing an unnatural amount of competition for women who do use them.... if they use them at all....

Trying to find attractive girls on dating sites is a ridiculous idea. They have thousands of messages which they don't even read; as Alik rightly mentions.

It is one option if want a very plain Jane though.

imo- its is an article designed to entice new memberships by women. Men probably started early in the apps, filling the ranks and stopped paying the monthly charges but didn't delete their accounts. Women when they leave, delete their accounts

Women budget so much for their looks each month, they are better customers. Whats $30/mo for a desperate 35 yr old who vainly spends $200/mo on her hair? It probably takes a guy just a month to figure out its a waste of time and money

Re: These are the numbers of the online battle field

Never liked dating apps. This is because you can't observe how women behave and interact with other people in a real world environment. Same reason why facebook and instagram only shows what you are allowed to see. It is all an act and often the woman will have a group of her friends as a group try to protect her secrets.

If a relationship can't begin with trust or openness then you never had a relationship to begin with and it is merely your turn. It is a shame but that is the reality of the current dating climate where you have to guard yourself as a man. Social media has added additional layers of complexity for dating along with trying to steer clear of jealous friends and white knights.

Privacy, tranquility, and freedom are king in this new social media world.

Do you wanna tell me what such relationships ever existed ?

There was this major Russian MGTOW and he was brilliant but he was promoting this idea that in the good old days before government got involved into dealings of christian church where men and women coexisted just perfectly ...

Of course women kept their mouth shut because men were allowed to beat them and even go further if needed ...

But there was never a time when its was open and trusting on the woman side ... men were open because they were peasant slave fools . But never women .

Women cheated on their lol husbands just like muslim women do it .

Too bad we dont have muslims on this forum

LOL, it's actually quite funny to think that there was ever a time where 'trust' was part of any relationship, especially romantic relationships. And how would you measure it anyway? No one is 100% honest, all the time, therefore trust isn't possible because honesty is not a constant. It's not impossible, but it just doesn't exist in human societies.

Women cheated on their lol husbands just like muslim women do it .
'Muslim' women cheat all the time. In my area in Saudi, I know at least a couple who cheat, they have creative ways of doing it without the man knowing. There is a risk involved, but they still do it.

If they go abroad, then they will engage in more exciting activities like gang bangs and orgies with non-arab men. Then they come back home and say 'I am religious now, I don't do dirty stuff like that'.

Re: These are the numbers of the online battle field

Trust in older human societies hinged on mutual sharing of resources or time. When there is an inequality or imbalance that is when trust scale is thrown off.

Trust is not an absolute truth but a relative truth. And as a relative truth it hinges on having the same value system as someone else. Over time trust can degrade but that is a result of different value systems.

Men and women do have different views of how trust is interpreted which means differing value systems. But there was once commonalities between men and women in trust that overlapped which led to family building.
