Guess whos complicating things in my MMA gym

MMA gym has been probably the best thing happening in my life in the last years, first sport ever in which not only I didnt fail (as all the others my whole life) but I even succeeded getting medals here and there.

For the first time in my life I found something that I felt mine in terms of lifestyle, usefulness, conditioning and personal satisfaction.

Everything has been great till the owner...hear hear got captured from this wall passing woman.

The owner is a former fighter with a great record (european heavyweight champion) and a great brain that allowed him to be successful as an entrepreneur, his new woman is a divorced just post wall woman.

So what is happening is that basically she is now the accountant while he takes care of gym stuff, she takes care of money, taxes, subscriptions and so on.

Many guys attending are not pros nor semipros, they are actually everyday normal guys who like to do it, many come after work at noon while others at late evening.

There were many types of subscription according to the time you want to train but sometime afternoon people came in the evening and the other way around, as long as it was once in a while no one complained...then she arrived and this is no longer possible...those who dont have a fixed work schedule and could change training time once in a while need a special subscription.

Same thing with many pros training there, many are not rich but they bring medals and help to train newcomers so they've been given a free pass if they need some extra day to pay.

Now its no longer possible even those who get medals and win competitions are expected to pay in time despite the gains they bring to the gym in terms of fame and marketing, let alone the wisdom and experience.

Many pros already left the gym, some semi-pros are planning to do so.

Talking about teaching rules, many instructors are now told not to let people fight by the end of the lesson, no more sparring sessions except some very light ones with so many protections that you could shot someone and he wouldnt even feel it.

I once asked why there are so many limitations given that sparring sessions are not mandatory and only guys who fight usually attend them, she stand up and left.

She also said she plans to create a girls only class and to do so a boxing class will be suppressed to make room to it.

Reminds me when I was a young one and got to box. Everything was good until my stupid single mother started flirting with my instructor. One day I was told no more boxing, was never given a reason. My conclusion after the third time he blew her off I was no longer allowed. Women have no place in certain areas. The fighting world is one of them. Let males be males and everything will just run more efficient and smoother.

Woman comes in the front door, men go out the back door, side door, and fire escape! It's just the nature of females invading men's spaces. Time to plan your exit and let the pandemonium begin!

Sorry for your losses, that's what happens when women come in!

Be glad and thank your lucky stars she's not yours to endure!

Re: Guess whos complicating things in my MMA gym

Back when I rode with the gang, I hated it every time one of our friends wives rode her own bike. The group was sure to spend several hours of our precious riding time setting along side the road while her husband chased nonexistent bike problems. True, she should of had a different bike, but nothing ever seemed to be wrong with it when her husband rode it. As for riding behind their guys, some women are good sports, specially when you consider biking is a lot harder and dirtier than driving a car. Of course there's no shortage of divas, but overall there's fewer than many activities you could think of. But you cant escape them all unless you ride by yourself as I usually do.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.

I feel for your loss, but the poor gym owner won't be able to afford lawyers at his divorce considering she's killing his livelihood. I feel more for him, except that it was his choice to marry this woman. Sounds like another face plant, head shake moment to me. Oh well, who's next?

Whatever the situation, and whoever happens to be involved, I'll take off as soon as the environment becomes even mildly septic. Life's too short, etc.

The kiss of death has descended upon your gym. RIP.

Time to look for a new gym as it is downhill from here.

And it'll eventually end with wine, cheese, and veggie snacks (remember that thread?), menstrual-product dispensers in the men's room, and a parking lot full of Volvos and Subarus.

The pollution of western civilization proceeds apace...

You never see men invading women's spaces like this, wonder why? Too bad, a good Dojo is hard to find. I have had to walk away too.

The reason we don't invade their spaces is because it's like a moth invading a hen house! The last place a moth wants to be!
