Your favourite old school video games

Donkey kong was my favourite along with moon patrol

Space invaders i remember lining up to play it in a takeaway shop . Notice how takeaway shops don't have pinball or arcade games in them anymore .

Those old game chassis are getting up there. We have a pizza joint with an original Ms. Pac-Man.

Galaga, Defender, and Donkey Kong Jr. were my addictions.

I loved to old school arcade games. You can still get old school stile games on steam. They are mostly new indie developments.

I had a Genesis machine back in the eighty's. Hot stuff then, I was the envy of all my friends kids. A helicopter game named Desert Strike I think, was my favorite. I never was much good though. The F-1 racing game would fire me often as not. Couldn't get the golf games stupid music out of my head either. Turn the game off, yet the music in your head kept going. Was that ever annoying.

Yar's Revenge and Contra II were my favourites on the small screen. X-Men, Altered Beast and Dungeons & Dragons: Legend of Mystara were great at the arcade, too... So many quarters...

There's something very fun about MGTOW. In an odd sense, like charting a new territory of the mind, or rediscovering a long lost civilization. Occult knowledge, secret societies, cannibal natives (THOTS), it's all very exciting... lololol.

Flimbo’s Quest on C64. The graphics and the music blew my mind back in the days.

I can tally a list based on the decade.

    1980's - Pac-Man
1990's - Street Fighter II (All Versions)
    2000's - Time Crisis 5

Honorable mention: Outrun, I was super addicted to that and played that game almost nonstop on the Master System and Genesis.

Beat me to it! Surely, one of the best of the early arcade games.

GTA3 and Vice City. I played the hell out of them. I still have them too!

I was a kid in the SNES era. Donkey Kong, Super Mario World, Mortal Kombat 3, and Yoshi's Island.

The (horrible) wrestling games on the Ps1 are still favorites of mine. Many nights with friends making our own wrestlers on WWF attitude and then trading memory cards.

N64- WWF No mercy was literally virtual crack to me. Played that game so much that I think I should have been in rehab!

Anyone remember Sega Dreamcast? It was the first system that allowed you to go online. I remember the high phone bill and being an asshole to so many people on NFL2K1.

I forgot to mention Heretic and Hexen, also Scorched Earth. Some of the old 486x games were pure addiction.

I had an Intellivision and Commodore 64 in the 80's. If I had the technology, I would be 11 forever with those games.

I still have a Vectrex. I used it for a year, but only occasionally because it had a bad power supply hum from the get-go that was fucking annoying.

Did you ever try "Mail Order Monsters"? That was a very fun game. Ghosts and Goblins too...

And in the "modern" video game category, the Thief series was super cool. There are dozens of fan-built missions and even campaigns on some fan pages...
