"In case of emergency reach for this person at this number"

Disclaimer: I fully embrace an MGTOW view, not because I think its cool but because its the most intelligent thing to do give the state of things in terms of culture, law and nature.

Today I saw a video, good chances its from this same board, a ted video about girls screwing up their 20s and finding themselves basically burned later on.

Somewhere in the video I heard something that kinda struck me too, cupcake was filling a form for a document or for a job application that I cant recall, on the bottom of the last page there was one particular line that required her to name someone to call in case of emergency.

Cupcake was nervous cause she had no one to name, I would have liked to joke about it but awfully I have that same problem...

    What about you guys?

I'm particularly interested in feedbacks from older guys, Im still in my 30s yet given my life style I cant tell for sure that sh1t wont happen sooner or later.

I got brothers, no sisters, no problem, we're thick as thieves! They, like me, will drop what they're doing in a heartbeat if needed, but don't ask me their numbers, all the new phones have names and speed dial so we don't have to memorize any numbers, I did in fact write their numbers down on paper and put them in my glove boxes just in case. I know my locks and safe numbers by heart, only because they don't have voice recognition and names like phones do!

Before I retired, on my employer's forms for emergency contact, I always indicated that the first person to contact was me. I would next list someone other than me as the second contact.

They would question me on this, but I would tell them, "Hey, if you have an emergency that involves me, I want to be the first to know about it!" I mean, they may find my wallet! I want to know! Don't call anyone else!

After all, I will not assume that all situations that they deem as an emergency mean that I am unconscious! It may be a cultural expectation to assume this emergency contact only matters if I am unconscious, but their forms say nothing to this, so I have decided that I am always the first to contact.

Just keeping them on their toes, is all.

To your concern, however, I have two brothers geographically nearby and I list both of them on the emergency form. I have one brother as a cosigner on my safety deposit box with his own key where in this box I have listed important information should I die without prior notice and this allows him to get to this box before a bank would learn of my death and lock it down had he not had a key. Important information, like where cash is stashed, spare house key, etc.

Certainly, you should think about who you would need contacted should you be incapacitated and taken to a hospital. Perhaps one person might be best for one type of emergency situation while someone else might be best for a different kind of emergency situation.

Do you have a trusted neighbor or friend with whom you can arrange to receive such calls from your employer? What would this contact person be able to do for you? Enter your house and bring you a change of clothes? Come pick you up and take you home? Or just get notified to come to the hospital to see you and learn at that time what you might him of him/her, such as to get your house key to go get your dog/cat/boa constrictor while you are in the hospital?

Consider asking your insurance agent for input. Even if you only have auto insurance, agents know stuff as they sell a variety of products. When I go on vacation, I have it arranged that if my house get broken into or catches on fire, which is an emergency is it not, my neighbor across the street will call my home insurance agent asap who knows to receive a call from my neighbor on such stuff so he can get someone out there to keep the loss minimized in my absence. Right before I go on vacation, I inform my neighbor and I remind my home insurance agent and make sure they have each other's phone numbers. So, this is an instance where I might not be the first contact in an emergency, as my neighbor and my agent can act locally faster than I can act when I am on vacation two thousand miles and three time zones away and may be hard to reach. But, of course I will be the second one to contact.

It is good you think about this. I hope I have helped in any way.

I'm the only one of the family still living in the ancestral homeland, and everyone else is too far away to be of any help. I do have many friends I can count on though, some going back forty years. If I'm in a jam they'll come. Course I cant say no either, so you got to be careful who you trust with this serious friendship shit.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.

    Good Question Jackal
I don't know where you stand on the relationship cycle, but when I received my divorce papers I went through that. My best friend ghosted me(his wife and my ex were close friends), my grown kids were weaponized against me , and my brothers and sisters live too far away. And there I was, mid 50s, signing a lease for an apartment and not knowing whose name to write. Which of my remaining friends could be trusted in this whirlwind??
Its been a year and half and the friends that stuck by me have one thing in common, they are divorced or have wives they only tolerate. They look for excuses to spend time away from them, and I was a good one. Also in the meantime, peace has been made with my grown kids. Over the past 18 mos they realized Mom was never the victim. And they are beginning to realize she had greedy ambitions. So today I would use my kids, but two of my friends would be there also if I used their names

I have my father as my emergency contact. Following that, I have a long roster of friends and family who would do right by me. I'm lucky.
And it's nothing but wide open prairie...

There's something very fun about MGTOW. In an odd sense, like charting a new territory of the mind, or rediscovering a long lost civilization. Occult knowledge, secret societies, cannibal natives (THOTS), it's all very exciting... lololol.

Re: "In case of emergency reach for this person at this number"

Had to add the video, because it's so telling from a MGTOW lens. For one thing, it's approach is (unsurprisingly) gynocentric. She's talking about "all people" but pretty damn well following the unconscious script that People = Vagina. Her advice on what to do is quite relevant to older men, particularly ones that have been through the divorce ringer. For them, that time of loneliness, reconstruction and empty emergency numbers is NOW. So it ain't bad from that point of view.

Also humorous, is how well this illustrates the devastation that's going to CC riders and maneaters once the wall comes smashing through them in about 15 years. Once they are single mothers and nobody will touch them with a 9' pole. Once they are desperate for a man, and no amount of settling will get them one.

    Ya might dig it.

The comments were fun, the vast majority are MGTOW-oriented.

    I liked this one:
