    A day of JOY!

Well Sunday was my 60th Birthday .. that was good I made it this far... Yesterday I pulled 340 on a dead lift at the gym.. (only been working out now about 6 months) not bad for an old geezer!! Even though my joy was high....Today I topped it by 10X... You see I went to the lawyer and paid my Bux and had the upmost joy of signing papers to file my DIVORCE from that wall crashed hateful AWALT bitch of 17 years. In 45 to 60 Days from today I will be a full fledged Man Gone His own Damn Way !!

Life is good....tonight I will celebrate with a 50 gauge oil wrapped Dominican and a few shots of Glenfiddich as I sit looking out over the balcony at the incoming tide!!
    Cheers!

    Congratulations, H#9. That's great news.

What was the .45? I'm a 1911 man myself, though I did own a Glock 21 for a short while.

    Re: A day of JOY!

    Hey K K
well it's a Tarus PT1911 without the rail. Yeah I know it's a tarus but...I have several years of pistol smithing behind me and a few tools.
First thing is to pull the trigger Assembly and Arkansas stone the rails for a smoother fit.....then I will work the sear and open the eject port on the slide...... I plan to De-horn this beast and have already ordered my duracote colors to airbrush this piece when Im done.

I think I will go with a coco-bola wood grips or maybe English coach wood in a nice reddish tone when done....
I have already put 150 rounds of Winchester "white Box" ammo thru it in two days..... only problem so far is the first 3 or 4 mags didn't want o feed all 8 rounds but did great with 7. May have to tweak the mag feed lips and see what happens..

Tell me...whatcha think? And What are you carrying/shooting. My other is a Springfield 70 series 1911.......dang if this Taurus is just a little bit more accurate....probably 2-3 hundred cheaper....

    Re: A day of JOY!

Hey, nothing wrong with Taurus these days. A couple decades ago they could tend to be a bit sketchy, but not any more. They're shipping a quality product now. I used to own a Taurus (rough) clone of a Beretta 92, back in the day when the Beretta slides were coming off the frames when case pressures were on the high side. The Taurus ran just as smooth as the Beretta, it was just as accurate if not more so, and I liked the safety a lot better.

Little tip for new-gun break in: Run the slide rails bone dry for the first box. They'll self-polish quickly.

For carry, I have an old Colt Officer's with a long (aftermarket) adjustable trigger. For home, just like you I have a Springfield 1911 70 series with high-viz sights. I have shock buffers in both, but I don't think I need them; I don't fire any high-pressure stuff. I also have an early Colt stainless that my gunsmith added a custom grip safety and an adjustable trigger to. It's got a Kart barrel, full-length guide rod, and a Commander hammer. I don't use it for carry because it's so tightly-fitted. It's more for bullseye work than anything else. It's never balked on me, but I just feel more-comfortable with the Officers and the Springfield because they have just that tiny bit of play in the slide-to-frame fit.

    Happy birthday!
And it's nothing but wide open prairie...

There's something very fun about MGTOW. In an odd sense, like charting a new territory of the mind, or rediscovering a long lost civilization. Occult knowledge, secret societies, cannibal natives (THOTS), it's all very exciting... lololol.

Birthdays come and go, but a cunt to go and leaving a man happy & content always brings a smile to my face. Enjoy the freedom and keep the deadlifts going strong. Don't knockup some young gym thot now ..... :P
