    Is the Catholic Church done?

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/14/us/pe...ury/index.html

This was just one state. How can they come back from this? I think they are done.

As a regular church-going Catholic, I would say it is daunting. And sobering.

Maybe I'll go back to whoring around.

Re: Is the Catholic Church done?

The Catholic Church has been done for quite a while. Sad to see but they can't recover given that they hide such deviance while celebrating single mothers. In other words, if you are an honest, ordinary single man the Catholic church doesn't have anything to offer.

That is why men should seek other group activities with other men to cultivate their skills, career growth or share their hobbies. The Catholic Church is simply a corpse that has been invaded from the outside while the inside was decaying long ago.

I agree that if they do not enact significant and sustained change soon, their relevance as the World's Religion will fade much like the Roman Empire. The battle will then become which church can attract the majority of non-traditional Christians (LGBTQ - etc) to then go head to head with non-Western religion. The time will not be far off and yes, Men need to develop their own "family" to ensure that they are not succumed within the latest "Global religion".

Re: Is the Catholic Church done?

I agree with A.N. but for a different reason. The Catholic church will die because it's become so irrelevant. Stand outside and watch the exits when their services let out. Hardly any 16-to-30-year-olds. It's all middle-agers, seniors, and kids who got dragged there against their wills. The young adults are going to the big, loud, jeans-wearing, normal-people, multi-site nondenominationals because those churches don't play games. They're modern, they're real, they're imperfect and are the first to admit it, they speak young people's language, and they don't pretend to be superior. I play on their stages, so I oughta know. Also, there's a trend now toward "consuming" Christianity remotely, via recorded teachings placed on the Internet, as opposed to physical attendance at a building. The modern non-denominationals are already on board with that, and have been for many years. The average Catholic church... crickets...

If the accounts I'm reading are accurate, then the pus infestation that's apparently been an integral part of the Catholic church for so many years will only accelerate the demise that was bound to occur. But the demise would've come eventually, even without these new revelations.

    Cheap real estate, anyone?

In the "western world" it is done. 2nt and 3rd world countries will keep it going for many years to come. Part of it being it is one of the richest,....perhaps the richest group in the world.

This is why the church supports open borders---as people like me leave for good they fill my pew in church with Guatemalans who either don't know or care about the abuses of the church. Kru Kut is close. When I used to attend mass 1800 on Saturday; the youngest person there was me---and I'm 57. Same for the Sunday 0900 mass. Now the illegal alien mass at 1100 sunday HOLY crap is that a different story...kids kids and more kids. Of course these are also the drain on our tax dollars with WIC, ADC, food stamps, welfare etc.

Just imagine those priests that are doing the devils work in Gods church, standing before God when their judgment comes, they have no idea the kind of hell the Lord is gonna unleash on their ungodly souls.

Progressive churches scare the fuck out of me. My buddy took me to a few many years ago after his mother decided the pastor was "reading the bible wrong"...and immediately my "CULT ALERT! SYSTEM LOCKDOWN!" thing got tripped. They were fucking saavy with the sales pitch... greasier than fucking AmWay.

Zero organized religion for me. Just my 2 cents.

Wait, the Catholic Church has acted in a corrupt manner? The shock! The horror! I mean its had such a stellar and pristine track record for centuries, right? Oh wait...

I know Lutheran (sect of catholic) has embraced feminism, gynocentrism, homosexuality, and all other forms of blasphemy prohibited in the scriptures. As a viable church their actions speak louder than my words. The Pope is a mangina yes-man cunt garbed in spiritually depraved filthy rags. I have no respect for him or the good upstanding members betrayed by such evil actions, intentions, and motivations, in too many religions the pulpit has become a snake-pit!

These are troubling times gentlemen, follow your nose, it smells shit real good!!!

The church lost all of its credibility wihen it covered up massive sexual abuse scandals and shuffled priests around from Parishto Parish instead of reporting them to the proper authorities .

These scandals illustrate exactly why one must grab the bull by the horns and confront things immediately instead of covering them up.

I too avoid organized religion like the plague.

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Notice a specific place of gathering isn't mentioned.

I don't need a building called "church" to pray and love my God. I can do it anytime I want and anywhere I please.
Everyone of my breath is a worship to the Master of the Universe. No need of organs or electric guitars.
Opening the Bible and reading it after having asked God for Understanding is just as well or better than going to a place called "church" where you'll fall asleep 5 minutes into the sermon then be asked to pay "for our leaking roof".

Organised religions are man's inventions. Jesus never wanted to create Religion and He didn't mean the Catholic Church when He spoke of His "Church" since it didn't exist yet.

Is the Catholic Church done? I'd say no. It has enough money and world influence to sustain itself indefinitely.
Don't let them blame, shame or tame you!

Not to mention the requests from the Church for relief supplies, relief aid, immigration assistance, missions to this country, missions from that country ... all the stuff that keeps the Church running on all financial cylinders.

Absolutely right. One on One is the way it was intended to be.

You guys might want to consider perhaps dialing it down a notch with your bashing of the RCC! Keep it up and somebody's gonna end up getting burned at the stake...

Re: Is the Catholic Church done?

As GregBo is aware one reason (of many) that I finally stopped going to my church was that a woman---at the podium decided to edit out parts of the Word of God that she found politically inconvenient. The priest not only failed to administer correction immediately but let it pass unanswered. That was it the last straw for me.
