Heh, Lovecraft fan but from the Caribbean. That's somewhat amusing. Although I'm not sure whether Lovecraft was really "racist", I think he was more of an anti-immigration guy in general. Those cultists speaking in barbarian gibberish, praising Cthulhu? Migrants.
Can't blame him though. Driving with public traffic in GerMoney is basically the same experience. People speaking gibberish everywhere with hardly a word of German in-between. Is this what our grandfathers died for? Hmm.
    Anyway, welcome to the board.

    Hi thanks.

I've come to realise though that oftentimes that there is a lot of pretentiousness and hypocrisy existing. A lot of those so-called "conservative/religious types" tend to be the ones who are most engaged in the debaucherous activities. They just tend to cover it up well.

Whether he was racist or not is immaterial to me. He was indeed a brilliant author and I enjoy his works. I haven't really come across any blatant racism or racist undertones in his work. Only one minor instance in the short story "The Rats In The Walls," where the protagonist had a cat called "Nigger -Man."

    A pastor once told me:
"They're hoes every day of the week, it's just that on Sunday, they ho for Jesus."

That pastor might well be worth listening to. Clearly he's not afraid to speak the truth as he sees it, regardless of whose feelings might be hurt. "Hoeing for Jesus" sounds very quotable.

He drops some truth bombs from time to time. I guess that's why his church is always empty.
