Eight words that shed a lot of light

While there are many sentences that can be used as a reference point for female behavior, I received the below in email today.

Virtue has never been as respectable as money. - Mark Twain

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virtue: Behavior showing high moral standards.
    synonyms: goodness, virtuousness, righteousness, morality, integrity, dignity, rectitude, honor, decency, respectability, nobility, worthiness, purity;

Respectable: Regarded by society to be good, proper, or correct
synonyms: reputable, of good repute, upright, honest, honorable, trustworthy, decent, good, well bred, clean-living

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The greed to acquire resources ensures that virtue and ethical treatment are secondary to obtaining ones goals.

You mention virtue, I will elaborate by listing the 4 cardinal virtues because I think they are worth repeating.

Prudence: the ability to discern the appropriate course of action to be taken in a given situation at the appropriate time.

Justice: also considered as fairness, the most extensive and most important virtue, the Greek word also having the meaning righteousness.

Fortitude: also termed courage, forbearance, strength, endurance, and the ability to confront fear, uncertainty, and intimidation.

Temperance: also known as restraint, the practice of self-control, abstention, discretion, and moderation tempering the appetition (AKA philosophy of desire) Sōphrosynē can also be translated as sound-mindedness.

Agreed but most members would say Justice, temperance and Prudence are often no exhibited, especially in later states of a relationship.

    Great followup post!!!

I am glad you liked it, it would not likely have occurred to me to post it without reading yours first.

That is regrettably true. Anger is similar to arousal and can result in cloudy judgement.

In radio and television these are referred to as "Hot Takes" in that they are based more on emotion than logic, often recorded on a whim rather than being premeditated.

This is a great statement for members to take to heart. One can be baited into a "HOT TAKE" by a current or ex partner who has a mobile device recording the conversation.

phones has become invisible to most folks, especially when the recording app has already been started and the phone is laid discreetly upon the table. Once you start using emotion instead of logic within the conversation you are more easily manipulated into saying / revealing / doing something very bad.

    Fantastic Gringo!
