    Speak Less

    http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/c...s_the_23_rule/

Speak less or speak French, mes amis. Speak too much and you will sound desperate. Speak Laconic.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/s...-the-girl.html
A study found that men who use shorter average word lengths and concise sentences were preferred by volunteers who listened to male speech patterns.
They think the preference arises because women generally use longer words and so shorter words make a man sound more masculine. They found the only exception was foreign languages, which were generally preferred overall for being exotic.
    V. Adhere to the golden ratio
Give your woman 2/3 of everything she gives you. For every three calls or texts, give her two back. ... When she speaks, you reply with fewer words. When she emotes, you emote less. The idea behind the golden ratio is twofold it establishes your greater value by making her chase you, and it demonstrates that you have the self-restraint to avoid getting swept up in her personal dramas. Refraining from reciprocating everything she does for you in equal measure instills in her the proper attitude of belief in your higher status. In her deepest loins it is what she truly wants.

My commentary: There are ample scenarios to speak more. In the beginning of the encounter, a man will often have to support the conversation and do enough of the talking, before attraction is built. But generally, a man can maintain a sense of perceived value by being less "conversationally needy" than she is.

    1. It isn't that women use longer words, it is just that they use more of them. I stumped many girls by using words such as "pedantic" and "unpretentious" in normal conversation.

    2. This would mean that German men are some of the most feminine considering how long some German words are.

    3. I can see the point in the article in that it is not wise to be verbose as being that way provides more opportunities in looking foolish.

Oh yeah, it's really simple. Once women feel comfortable, they can generally talk on for hours - usually about themselves! When they have actually had interesting lives, this can be very entertaining; usually it is not.

If you take a look at the study details, it does indicate that men use shorter durations whens speaking.

Duration: Males typically have shorter durations than females [46]. This was measured from the onset to offset of spectral energy for each word and averaged for each talker.
    and

Additionally, speech clarity, which was mentioned above with respect to VOT, is generally described as a female trait which may be used to assess attractiveness. Bradlow, Torretta, and Pisoni [46] demonstrate that female talkers produce sentences with a more expanded vowel space, less reduction, and longer durations.
As for the definition of duration:

One additional phonetic characteristic has been shown to be relevant to judgments of vocal attractiveness: voice onset time (VOT). VOT is a temporal descriptor of oral stops when they are followed by a voiced sound (e.g., a vowel) that measures the duration, either positive or negative, of the lag interval between the onset of vocal fold vibration and the release of the oral closure.
So the study itself refers to not just the volume of words being said, but of what is said, how quickly (short/long) is it said.

    Re: Speak Less

Whenever I speak to my mother I always have to remind her not to go off at tangents and stick to the subject at hand. She will often forget what she was originally talking about half way through.. It's quite annoying!

    Re: Speak Less

It seems to me the most successful men in business instinctively know that as a leader you have to be as laconic as possible. If you can't sell your idea or what needs to be done for the day in less than 90 seconds you can't be trusted to lead or even be the leader of the execution of a project.

In relationships a man will lead but has to be decisive and be clear of your intentions or else women will start to hamster. And when women start to hamster they tend to try to flip your frame mindset as a test.

To pass the test just be consistently logical, economically with word usage and clear with sentences.

Life is easy once you realize that simple dialogue as a confident man is always better than the theatrics/clown verbal assault that a lot of PUA's teach their students these days when interacting with women.
