Post What's the Bachelor Community About??

A Bachelor is thrilled to be alive!

Life has a lot to offer. Bachelors are forever exploring, always learning. They like being around the right kind of people. They may or may not be extraverted but they see the benefit of being around others as it fits their personality. A friend means a lot. Bachelors enjoy the company of women without pedestalizing them or thinking they are more than they actually are. They know the right kind of woman can bring a different kind of personality and energy which can be invigorating. They are firmly red pill and prefer to engage the world around them with red pill principles rather than retreat. Bachelors are not PUAS who often subject themselves to far too much BS from women to get the bang; base too much of their life and self-worth around scoring.

Nothing negative about the world really bothers a Bachelor. They are not blind to it but do not feel the world's burdens. They either a) do something about it (see Action) and find purpose in the journey of doing what's right, b) hold an optimistic view towards life itself; the good in the world is vast if undermarketed and they can narrow their focus to whatever they want from life. Negativity is a curse; Bachelors are post-Anger.

Some things Bachelors may be (but not necessarily): physically active, travelers, snappy dressers, whisky connoisseurs, wine aficionados, concert goers or enjoy their own music collection. They may participate in local organizations, local government committees; they may volunteer, or give back to the community in some way. On the laid-back side, they may be: readers, idealists, comedians, poets, musicians, creators. They enjoy a good time. They are risk takers and see one's comfort zone as the enemy. They believe rewards, of all kinds - not just financial but also social- comes from taking risk and feeling fear or braving rejection/failure.

In re-reading this, I realize I've described Bachelors as some kind of young hedonist rock star, which is not the case. Bachelors are any age. They often enjoy their time to themselves as much or more than being out and about. It's not about being into punk rock. It's about an attitude, not about what you dress like or being into whats fashionable.

Bachelors don't dwell on what they dislike. Most need no regular reminders of a woman's actual nature but remain curious about female nature and how it impacts their every day interactions with women. They see the Red Pill as having a read on women in all phases, to be successful with them (getting what they want) at work, in social life, and in their relationships.

Goals - The goal of a Bachelor is to custom-design their life, to push boundaries, to have great experiences, to live life confidently and boldly.

Subforums - No subforums for now. We invite you to talk about "Living the Good Life", "Game" and stuff you're excited about, thinking about, questions, stories in the main Bachelor Community forum. We have a separate Game sub-forum; I'll leave that there for now if you have something very Game specific like "my take on the Mystery Method" but all else, like relationships and basic stuff about day game, for example, can go in the main Bachelor forum.

This sticky is really useful Jagr.

I've kicked off a thread in the Neutral Zone to see if a discussion can arrive at something similar over there. I think we are going to have the hardest time in clarifying things, if I'm honest.

Yeah, neutral is the hardest. It is a catch-all between Ghost and Bachelor so it encompasses the widest definition.

Yeah I thought it was. YourTipofTheDay seemed to think otherwise but we'll see what everyone thinks.

I guess I just have poor reading comprehension then because it just didn't seem like that's what was being said. If he said exactly what he said above then there would have been no doubt in my mind, but I see now. And it makes sense because it's "neutral", which would imply that it's sort of in between or simply unable to fit in either group.

Which then makes me wonder, why allow people to use "other" when neutral is supposed to catch-all? If neutral is a catch-all then shouldn't there be no need for "other"?

I think it could be because of how people reacted. You saw me allude to a "knee-jerk" reaction in my ranty thread, which most people will have the good sense to ignore no doubt.

It's a nebulous concept, so no stain on your comprehension at all mate. In fact, you're one of the most astute.

Yeah, you're probably right. I saw you going back and forth with another poster for a while. It was pretty intense.

And thank you for the compliment, that means a lot coming from you. There are a few posters here who are either extremely intelligent or very articulate - but it is much more likely that they are both. I consider you to be one of those posters.

I appreciated you defending millennials in a thread a while back. It was you against a handful of older posters. I wanted to help you but I had nothing intelligent to say and I knew I would get decimated. I don't think I have the intellect and/or at least I lack the ability to express my ideas or thoughts into words effectively.

If you don't mind a different perspective, it sounds to me as though Bachelors are more gregarious than the mainstream of MGTOW. For example, a Bachelor's idea of 'quality time aboard a yacht' would include a mixed crowd on a day trip, while a Ghost would be more likely to measure himself against the ideal of single-handing to Bermuda ... or the Caribbean ... or Tierra del Fuego....

And the Ghost would be perfectly content to relax at the bar and quietly enjoy the Party At The End Of The World.

YourTip, there's the art of taking apart someone's argument, focusing on the weak points and exposing them, and then there's the ability to engage with their idea, entertain it without necessarily accepting it and then making a judgement. I try to stick with the latter but sometimes slip up and fall into the former. From what I saw, you have no problem with the latter - i.e. your comprehension is very good. That's intelligence IMO.

I've given my support for the change, just to see what happens.

As others have sensed, something is not quite right (of course, part of that is it's a new concept.. resistance to change is natural).

This is all abstract in my head, my apologies if it is not understandable. NBG is a one axis description. Like hetero-bi-gay or democrat-independent-republican.

I think we will find there are 2 or 3 axes which would more accurately describe us. Along the lines of DiSC, myers-briggs temperament (4 axes)

Which axes? I don't really know. Perhaps a scale of relationship allowance (married-gf-AFC-RP-ghost), external involvement (prepper, ghost, loner, norm, MRA), attitude (#allwomenareevil, TFL, manwhore, tradcon, MRA, PUA)

20 questions survey, to cause us to reflect on ourselves. From the rough descriptions I drafted, I'd be a: RP, loner, tradcon = bachelor
My opinions are not necessarily my opinions.
