    Cool Places

Write at most 2 sentences about an experience you had overseas you won't soon forget.

Mine: Arenal, Costa Rica- hot summer, cool rain, gusting wind sitting in a natural hot spring, having a mixed drink while looking up and watching lava flow down the volcano. will never forget it.

Some of you may be wondering -- who is this Jagrmeister guy? Have a look at some of my posts from MGTOW Forums--> Jagr Archive (collection of my articles)

Stuff I do: Box, Surf, Tennis (3.5/4.0), Downhill skiing. I lift 4x a week and have for 10 years.
Stuff I like: Comedy shows, NBA, Reading Non-Fiction (sociology, philosophy, biographies).
Random facts: I admire Steve Jobs. Favorite travel spots (Russia, Central America).

Salamanca, Spain circa '98 - Bullfight, people cheering, bull getting stabbed and blood pouring out of the beast as it stumbled around; people hooted and hollered as it gave its last breaths. My sister starts crying her eyes out. Mom and dad sit quietly stunned.

Tete Blanche Switserland, Arolla, 2008. Far away peak after travelling cross a beautiful glacier. We could see mountains that were 200 kilometres away, we saw all the alps had to offer. Hands down best view and best father and son experience of my life.

Riding across Eurasia in a hired Mercedes, along winding mountain roads with 1000 year old monastaries and old Roman ruins, large flocks of sheep, water bubbling out of springs.

    Will never forget it.

Roatan , Honduras...Scuba diving a wreck in 90 ' of clear water in the morning . Chartered a fishing boat for two hours and landed 8 small tuna. One got splayed open on the side of the boat and the captain had a box of Ritz crackers. Fresh suchi Caribbean style.

Philippines; Perfect island weather on a white sand beach, breeze 10 knots which propelled my kite-board across a shore of crystal clear aquamarine blue. The rush of cruising over waves while in a tropical paradise without a care in the world and looking at the ocean beyond the shore.

South Beach Miami '10, mid afternoon at the closed peer, racing the tide to the end of the breakwater. With feet wet, I made it to the last rock and saw the Bluest sky and ocean combo of my life.

North Vancouver Island, there's four paving crew's in a row, and when the last one cuts us loose, my bikes first in line. The road was clear, the bike was quick, and I left those cars for dead.

Bermuda, sailing into Town Cut at the helm of Hank Schmitt's Swan 48 Avocation, proceeding under the bluffs and entering St. George's Harbor, surrounded by lush vegetation and steep shorelines punctuated with white-roofed, pastel houses. Clearing in at Customs, docking in front of the Visitors' Center, then going ashore for a well-earned Dark & Stormy at the White Horse Pub.

Udorn AFB Thailand; 1967; arrived at base tired, sweaty, and after getting to barracks went to shower and while there, a Moma-son, a woman/girl hired to clean barracks, walks in to fill a scrub bucket. Not that big a deal, but for some reason it has stuck with me.

Cuba after the Russians left: Cuba was a 3rd world hell hole. Endless lines everywhere. Rolling brown outs and black outs. Shortages of everything. There was hunger. I did not see it myself. But I have heard from journalist that they saw skinny pigs. Pigs with ribs sticking out. During the time, the air was filled with tension. I thought there was going to be a revolution.

Grand Caymon: After traveling in the Caribbean, I thought I hit the jack pot. What a country. Everything about it was beautiful. The streets were paved. Cars all looked rather new. People were dressed to the 9's. Homes beautiful. The people looked middle class to me. I had no sense of poverty. As I walked thru the streets no one stopped me to beg for money or try to sell me something because I am an American. Such a beautiful country. I want to go there again for an extended stay.

Driving into the Red River gorge Kentucky at night while all the hills were on fire.

Driving and wandering around the blue mountains in Australia on Acid. Floating along the river on a bamboo raft in Yangshou, China, enjoying the beautiful scenery and listening to the raft guy singing a Chinese folksong.

    Meteora, Greece.

Majestic view of the Greek countryside and even was able to visit some of the monasteries there. Monks there were always friendly to any visitors and were like a mini self reliant community.

One of the guys did keep it, after it was no longer a weapons platform obviously. I can't remember the guy's name, but he was from Brooklyn, real fucking Vinny type and had a mouth that shot harsh truth so fast a Porsche couldn't keep up. He drove that heap everywhere for a while, finally junked it after I rotated out from what I heard.

Nope, I'm just another average putz like every other schmo here trying to stay one step ahead of the next phony assault charge and false rape accusation.

Who I was back then and who I worked with doesn't really matter anymore, but the skills are on tap whenever I need them, so there's that. As for Bar Fights, I've been in a few, some good, some not so much, but that's another story and old news how they went down. If ya ever see a guy grab a square amber glass ashtray off a table before the heat starts you will know it's me, but that probably wont happen because the fucking pussies cried so much about people smoking in bars.

I take it that you're retired now. Out of one meat grinder into another.

Anyway If I do take my Canadian ass down Texas way, I'll keep my eyes peeled for the guy gripping his beer mug waiting to glass some drunkard.

Ehh... I don't get out much anymore, to mean to be in polite society now, mostly just an old junkyard dog chained up by all the new rules. Besides, I fucking hate beer, I'm a hard liquor kinda guy.
